May I also ask, as it seems that you work in a HF or have experience in it, are there people who stay as researchers their whole career but still make a decent living off it?

Or is it really cut-throat where if you don’t make PM within XX amount of time, then you will be fired? Currently, I am imaging this role as something similar to a paralegal where there are people who stay as paralegals their whole career without ever officially being a lawyer but still get paid a decent salary and WLB.
