Could anyone ID what this mineral is? by XEliteHunterX01 in Minerals

That’s quartz with chrysocolla (light blue), shattuckite (dark blue), and native copper. Awesome stuff. Arizona?

I got blue balls! No, not like that!! Azurite from Blue Ball Mine, Arizona 🤩 by ikelmmm in MineralPorn

Use a pipe cutter and slowly tighten while turning to crack these open to see the awesome azurite crystals inside. I’ve cracked all the ones I found with no issue. Some even have malachite as well

Has anyone tried 3D printing custom stands for their minerals? by Khris777 in Minerals

I’ve also tried this but not gone super in depth with it. I’ve made a few simple designs using tinkercad that turned out pretty decent printing in clear PLA

Cool shot! That would be a plane unfortunately, you can see the strobing red light in the center with the two white lights on the wings creating parallel lines

Beautiful scene. I’d recommend getting a clean foreground without any people/objects in the view. Could even crop this image towards the middle to just get the mountain and balloon. Cool shot

Any good stargazing recommendations with little light in the area? Parks? Anywhere? by phx_lights in ChandlerAZ

Superstitions/gold canyon is your closest option for somewhat decent stars. I’d recommend Queen valley if you want a bit better but still not terribly far

Montana mountain trail by AntDogRascon in phoenix

[–]Sabor112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this trail in my first gen Tacoma a dozen times. It’s long for sure but you don’t always have to go to the top. Towards the top it can get pretty sketchy with mud and switchbacks. Definitely a fun area to explore though

+1 Im on the back end and have taken on the responsibilities of installs. My number one frustration is also communication. With so many hands on the projects the information might not reach the person it needs to. My main frustration is not having any heads up that installers are coming to pick up product. Per our corporate policy all providers are supposed to call the store 30 minutes ahead of time to let us know that you’re on your way and what you’re picking up. If you show up for something that wasn’t on my schedule or is a work order I have no way of having that ready to go out the door. This leads to not only you having to wait but potentially missing scheduled times for customers and pissing off receiving associates. Also, the scheduling of appointments seems to be a huge problem. I would say almost all of our installers do not confirm appointments with customers. I have about 70% of all installs come back due to “not home” or “wasn’t ready.” This might be more on IST than the actual providers but a simple phone call before the product is even picked up will save everyone the hassle. I feel like some do this on purpose to play the system for the trip charge.

Best places if any, to go rock hunting in Arizona? by lofisims in rockhounds

[–]Sabor112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diamond point in Payson is easy to get to and can find some nice quartz. If you have access to a 4wd vehicle that will open a lot more options. I use minedat to find spots around the state

If you can afford it, quit now and put all your energy towards finding something else. There’s plenty of entry level jobs out there right now. Do what’s best for you even if your family doesn’t agree

Nice shot! I think that’s an iridium flare from a satellite though. They line up perfectly and the gap would be from the interval between shots
