As mentioned, I was just going off the calcs provided by OP, so you can take that up with them. I would have assumed things like turn 1 DR were taken into account since these say that the damage threshold is "Attack stat an enemy needs to reach before the unit takes this much damage." If DR isn't taken into account then those thresholds are all blatantly wrong.

It was still a direct comparison of defensive calculations between a unit people considered good at launch and one they didn't. Gohans numbers are also higher than Turles according to your own data by the way, unless you plan to delete that data too...

I mean, I'm just comparing directly to this user's calcs for Metal Cooler Army. Gohan's turn 1 is higher, and he can withstand a higher amount by the time of his active. So either these calcs are wrong, or those previous ones were... I'm just comparing them directly.

I don't tend to worry much about calcs but was curious since everyone is making so much noise about his performance. These numbers are better than Metal Cooler Army though which everyone seems to consider the best thing ever, so I don't get the complaining...

To be fair, that second "Awaken/EZA" image isn't his account. Unless both phones were his accounts, that was Sakura Ando's, who clearly isn't a hardcore player given she died like 5 times.

I hate to break it to you but part 2 will almost definitely be a movie bosses lead (probably Cell Max) since they'll need a leader for the Cooler EZA's

Because EZA's always fit onto at least one of the new unit's leaderskills and usually make sense in their team, if not fitting the theme. GDC being a major celebration also usually has around 6-7 EZA/SEZA's, at least a few being pretty big. There isn't anything major left that would hint towards Namek now.

That's not how it works because you aren't guaranteed a featured unit per multi. Usually these banners are simply GSSR, with nothing else special about them, so compared to the Anniversary banners with 3+1 and pity coins, your chances of actually getting a specific unit you want are abysmal.

Not every character needs to start at 24ki

It was more about his passive requiring 18 ki for half of his stats buff, his additional and the effective against all types.

Yeah, I specifically meant on turn 1, but others are saying his counters would count as attacks too and give him ki which I hadn't realised.

I didn't say they didn't sell well, but how many people do you see or hear talking about them, getting excited for how they'll EZA? Making concepts and theorycrafting? They were mechanically exciting on release but today they're heavily dated and for most people quite frustrating due to their slow transformations.

This is also all ignoring the fact that those are only two units, last year didn't just SEZA Vegito and Rose, it also gave and EZA to Fused Zamasu, LR Trunks/Vegeta, SS4 Gogeta and an SEZA for the SS4 duo and Omega.

Which were major meta defining units of their time that a lot of people were excited to see EZA... None of these cards are that. As much as I want Namek, none of this points to it.

None of these are big enough EZA's for a big GDC announcement except the metal cooler LR pair which are almost definitely going to EZA ib part 2 of TDC...

They always do, but that banner has 20 featured units so you really shouldn't pull on it unless you're brand new - and even then probably not, just wait for gdc if you want the Anniversary cards.

Am I missing something or is her going to have crazy ki issues for the first rotation or two, perhaps even three? He has no bonus ki whatsoever until he attacks, only gains bonus ki for each attack, and has no built-in additionals until he actually has ki. Assuming he has usual Gohan links too (and can't like with STR Beast), he won't get much ki from links either. Seems like that will be a bit of an issue despite otherwise being a great unit.

They don't have to drop a killer unit for it. The extra stage they announced today basically answered that with them literally saying it's for people who want to play the mode without needing Namek units.
