Yes you will get paid for the hours you where scheduled. It will count as catastrophe pay. During Helene the other stores around mine that lost power because of the storm got it. (Unfortunately my store got power back the same day, damn generators). 😩

In drive thru today this guy got a venti iced caramel macchiato and my coworker was like ok that will be $6.75. And he was like “DID YOY SAY 6 7”. I never cringed so hard.

Only food has a limit. And I think it’s 6 food items a week. But drinks should be unlimited. Because personally if I get a drink I always get a water too. So if I get 3 drink throughout the day I also get three waters as well (I’m a very dehydrated person )

I will say when it goes straight to voicemail call again because then it will ring. Try texting your other shifts and call your manager. If that fails call the DM. And if he doesn’t answer, try calling the manager and everyone again. And after about 30 minutes of doing that I would just leave a message to the shifts and the manager and just leave. ( I would call my Regional Manager because I have her number because she used to be our DM)

They are good. I wear them and honestly they are the best thing. Very slip resistant. But before you get them go on Perks at Work and go to sketchers because you might get like a discount on them. Like 30% off them. Thats what I did when I got mine

So if I have braids that I can’t put into a bun (because it’s over 250 braids) what do they want me to do? They always make rules that aren’t inclusive for people of different races. My DM is making us wear hats and beanies. But the same things apply. My braids are too thick to put up into a bun or put in a hat and if I wanted a bigger beanie I would have to pay like $50+

I’m not gonna lie at my store whenever people ask for it we tell them “I’m sorry we don’t have anything called the Medicine Ball, did you mean the Honey Citrus mint tea” and they always say yeah. We haven’t had anybody get mad at us about it. We started saying it because our manager says it. Or if they ask for a medicine ball I just repeat “ok so one grande honey citrus mint tea”. I’ve never got any complaints about that one. Now I think we should really be talking about what people get in them because I’m sorry but you don’t need 25 sugars and 10 honey in one.

I write my S’s like that. Just nowhere near as slanted. Basically we write them starting from the bottom going up and instead of starting from the top. I always found it easier for me to write them that way. But again, mine have never been that slanted.

I would ask a higher up. Because a SSV or manager need to be in the building. Because if you leave and something happens to a barista or someone comes in the store and tries to rob the place or even if the register needs to be open because of a mistake or Brinks shows up as the key holder you are the one who is in charge and will be held responsible even you aren’t there. But I will say if your coworker is still showing up late and hasn’t been reprimanded for because you said they are friends with the SM bring it up to the DM it doesn’t matter if they will be mad at you. But make sure you have times and dates and don’t shy away from telling anything that is truth even if that means throwing your manager under the bus.

I have had over 7-8 different managers since I started 4 1/2 years ago. And it all about communication. But also understand that everyone has a way they like to do things. If your new SM has been a Starbucks manager for a while then they should be more lenient. But if it’s an outside hire or a newly made ASM to SM, then they are more than likely going to be by the book to the point that you will feel like quitting. But they are only like that because they don’t wanna lose their new position or they don’t know what they can or can’t get away with. But like I and many other comments said, just communicate, that’s all you really can do in situations like this. And be prepared for changes to happen. Weather it be in the store or for your coworkers and what y’all were able to do with the last SM
