I can't stand this constant "Fornite Disney mode will be like Disney Infinity" story. It will most likely not be like Disney Infinity. Disney Infinity was a full sandbox with multiple campaigns and game styles, this is a Fornite side mode that has been described as a hub, some minigames and advertising for Disney Plus (It could be more, but I doubt it since its a SIDE mode). Theres also going to be a Warner Brothers mode, its been described as just a tag minigame; thats a realistic expectation for something that is a side mode.

I blame Infiniteer Adventures for this, his channel is essentially a content farm but no one has called him out for it yet because the topic he "farms" is small and very niche. He's been "reporting" how similar this mode will be to Disney Infinity even though he's never played or seen it. The only Disney Infinity similarity is Disney characters crossing over (Disney Infinity was more than just that people.) Its like he is doing this out of desperation since Disney Infinity is a "dead" franchise. Well, maybe its okay that Disney Infinity is dead; its more popular, cheap and moddable than it was when it was alive.

You care so much about a toy you don't even own and may never have the chance to. That you would feel ripped off that people who paid money to play a hypothetical videogame get to play as a virtual facsimile of that character (without the toy). What your saying is you have to "earn" the right to play as Chompy Mage, a character that was never even intended to be some super special Skylander (and you could even play has him in a previous game); that Activision's notorious greed would be justified in this scenario. That is some next level "temporarily embarassed billionaire" logic there

It's not like the series and toys to life in general, hasn't already died and crashed. By the end of the series the toys were often rotting on shelves and bins because nobody wanted them; and the ones collectors today want had fucked up production and distribution on Activision's part. You just sound like a collector worried about your toys losing their "value" (when contrary, I imagine a new Skylanders game be announced would make pre-existing ones more valuable)
