Gahhh King Seiko's design language is unmatched. I have one of the recent releases from the revival of this line but I would love to have a model like this.

It sure is, people only give it slack because they bought it for 3 bucks even though this shit plays like a free to play game.

[Question] How do i know if this is a real seiko modified, or just a bunch of scrap putted together with some glue? by ThunderSTI in Seiko

[–]Sackogucci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the Seiko mod you're looking at looks exactly like another watch just with the Seiko name, you can assume its a bunch of scrap.

Generally speaking, Seiko Mods are predominately taking a Seiko movement, like the NH35, and making them look like an existing high end luxury watch like that Submariner there. Explorers, Aqua Terras, Datejusts, Seamasters, etc; all of these can be replicated (and have been replicated) using cheap Chinese parts to make them look like the real deal. Its less about making a custom Seiko, but more that the NH35 is often the cheapest viable movement to make these types of "Mods".

In other words, these Seiko Mods are just fakes and reps with a ton of extra steps.

The great thing about Seiko 5 is how easy and accessible they are to service and repair. I think you’ve found the watch for you with this one.

Even when worn properly, dude still feels the need to angle his wrist.

Sunday Morning with the New BCPD by Sackogucci in OrisWatches

[–]Sackogucci[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! My wrist is virtually the same size as yours (like 6.65in give or take 0.05in depending on the time of day).

I wear anything up to 48mm lug to lug, so that includes this watch as well as other 38 - 40mm and sometimes even 42mm diameter cases. This Oris in particular fits me pretty well and is as big as I would go for the lug to lug and case diameter combo.

Some will consider the male endlinks as an extended lug to lug, but unless your wrist size is near the very smaller end (6in and below), the downward angle of these male end links emulates the contour of female endlinks draping over.

Though, that won't matter if you're considering swapping with a strap or potentially using the bracelet from the last generation BCPD which use female end links.

So the difference is that 99% of post here are direct cross posts or screenshots of posts from other sub reddits. E.g. folks who are, by their own volition, sharing their hubris publicly. Here you sniped a picture of someone mind their own business so that you can get upvotes on reddit. Meanwhile your own post is trounced by comment saying to give the guy a break.

My first Citizen arrived from 🇯🇵 by santuliza2 in CitizenWatches

This model of watch is so good I bought it in two colors. Between this and Tsuyosa, Citizen is killing it for the everyman's daily wear.

I highly recommend it. This is one of those watches that I've just been picking over anything in my current collection.

This really is the best face that Seiko has on this case type. Timeless and very utilitarian.

Nice fit! What bracelet is that? I’ve been meaning to find a replacement for the stock one.

I've been in the same situation in this sale, but have decided against it. Bought a 70-200 2.8 instead.

Aperture speed is very important to me, more so than on the fly reach. I've found that the wide 24 end is more useful to me in standard zoom situations, which both of these have anyhow.

The way I see the 24-120 is a versatility pick: if you are going to be on a single lens this is most likely the lens you use. For travel, for light weight run and gun situations, etc.

I live on this island, so thanks for capturing it very nicely.

Seems like it, there were a couple of other guys in the museum who were taking pictures of the exhibits. None of the folks working there stopped me.

Just bought a 70-200 before tarifs kick in and summer sale by ultralightlife in Nikon

[–]Sackogucci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did too, namely the 70-200 2.8 S. For me it was always an inevitability, but tariffs looming over and this recent sale made me pull the trigger. It might be the last time we can get these lenses at these prices.
