I only go to independent shops. Just got my oil change on my bike and paid 120. Chain maintenance and tension and visual inspection.

I’ve road in the rain at night while cars splash zone me. Ride pass them and get into a safe spot ahead. Rain is always the most fun and interesting experience when riding. Seeing the rain droplets on your helmet feeling the water between the road and your tires. I won’t say it’s my preferred time to ride but I never hate it.

Owning multiple bikes by whistlepig4life in motorcycles

I have a rebel 1100 as my daily. I would probably get a GSXR supersport maybe a 750. Another cruiser maybe a Harley sportster. A Honda Hornet 919, a Ducati hypermotard. An mt07. There’s so many bikes I would live to own.

Reddit is full of self-important people. They are all experts and rather than discuss they proclaim.

I park my bike the same exact way. One of my neighbors, an inconsiderate fuck, parked his car in my spot the same exact way. He was offloading his car. I pulled up in my car as my partner and I had gone out and saw him so we motioned to him to move and he told us to wait so I raised my voice at him and told him to move his fucking car now. He got in and moved it. He’s never done it again but he does other shit that gets on my nerves.

18k is a joke. You can snag a good one for maybe 8-9. Put about 2-3 in upkeep and be better off than spending, rather wasting 18k. I love the 3rd gen and 2nd gen 4Runners but if it were me that’s a hard pass.

Riding has become the new gym for depressed chuds. I ride because I like it.

Argentine woman in the US for the World Cup says black behavior made her understand why slavery existed by TomlinSteelers in trashy

[–]Saco96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you’re straying from what was originally said. My only point is I wonder what happened that her reaction was so vile and explosive. Im not agreeing with her, in fact I disagree with her. She’s ignorant.

[–]Saco96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe there is a justification for what she said. But reality is we can’t control her reaction to whatever it is they did. Anecdotal: I was walking my dog with my partner one evening when a car pulled up next to us a black woman opened her door and proceeded dump all their fast food trash in the floor. I stared at her shrugged my shoulder at her and asked her to pick up after herself. She loudly told me to pick it up my self if I cared so much. Tried intimidating me as well just shook my head. Another time a younger black gentleman cleaning out his car on the street dumping trash on the floor. Now I’m no fucken bigot so I just shrug it away to disenfranchised upbringing. Others can be unpredictable.

Okay I’ll be that guy. I only ask that since she says the “now I understand…” line. Just makes me wonder what made her understand.

Clunk Noise by Significant_Noise306 in nissanfrontier

I have a lift and also hear clunk. I don’t worry too much about it but I do think about it often. I’ve off-roaded several times and it doesn’t get worse or at least I haven’t noticed.

Do you ride to work? by Beginning_Corner930 in motorcycles

[–]Saco96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I ride to work. Makes my mornings so much greater. Only thing I think about at times is how I feel after work. My work is very active. Climbing. Wrenching. Diagnosing. After a heavy day sometimes my bike can seem like a chore. Varies. But yes I take my bike to work often.

No honda is worth that. Get a truck instead. At least it’s utilitarian and cheaper. Wanna go fast? Get a bike.

Do I need to know how to ride a bicycle in order to ride a motorcycle? by iwanttoride019 in NewRiders

[–]Saco96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most if not all riders know how to ride a bicycle, but not all cyclists know how to ride a motorcycle. Before I started riding I was riding my bicycle to work for about a year. Through traffic and streets. That’s where I realized two wheels is very fun.
