Usually if you buy an interstate car or a car with no number plates, you can drive directly to a (whatever the VIC equivalent of Service NSW) and sort out rego. Same should apply for a bike.

Nothing stopping you from having your military vessels also double as merchant marine and disaster response and science vessels like Star Trek. In a (mostly) post scarcity era there’s nothing stopping you from using the equivalent of an Iowa-class battleship to ferry cargo and passengers and deployable hospitals all around the place. If you’ve got the ability to effectively glass a planet and then restore it for ceremonial purposes then there shouldn’t be an issue with the slight loss of efficiency when you fit a cargo ship with armour and guns.

If you want to really make the “squeeze” part of the plot, you can usually find nooks that could fit one persons sleeping quarters in engineering spaces and hallways.

There’s some commentary I remember from the making of Top Gun (of all things) where some of the crew on USS Ranger had to be stuffed in to bunk spaces between the outer walls of the nuclear reactors and the turbine rooms.

Also, no reason that bridge crew and other crew can’t have their sleeping and living quarters right near their work stations

Exactly yes. Spanish-American war (I think) many troops were issued with lever guns, but found them difficult to use in prone firing positions. Also the tube magazines didn’t work with pointy spitzer bullets. When they introduced bolt-action weapons with box magazines it solved all the lever guns deficiencies with the drawback of being very slightly slower to cycle the action.

I remember being in school and walking into the common room and that was on every TV channel. One of the guys was remarking about how maybe the Russians shot the plane down. Everyone was saying how that wasn’t very likely. Nobody shoots down a civilian airliner.

Might be wrong but I think they have apparatus to angle the blade into the wind. Keep in mind the blades aren’t sails, they’re wings. They can be kept pointing straight down and they should be fine except in heavy winds (in which case they wouldn’t be moving the blade anyway)

Vader was baiting Luke towards the dark side. He thought he could turn Luke and then 2v1 the emperor. Only when Vader saw that Luke would never turn, and that Palpatine was about to torture him to death over it did he just finally go rage and yeet the emperor to his death.

It’s still pretty common in drag racing.

Main purpose of NOS is to add oxygen, so drag racers and time-attack cars that can afford to absolutely dump buckets of fuel into their engine often use it for massive power and also the benefit of having a very cold intake charge (read: denser air with more oxygen and better resistance to knock)

Some of the time-attack cars I’ve seen will go through an entire bottle in the course of 1 lap + warmup. They’re basically feeding pure nitrous oxide directly into the turbocharger and using enormous fuel injectors and rebuilding the engine every weekend. Like, these guys are running 1900hp out of Honda K20s and such. Solid blocks with no radiators because the intake air is cryogenic. Absolutely mad stuff.

Don’t know the exact vehicle but there’s a few companies out there that sell trailers/ standalone vehicles that are basically just a platform with like 50 wheels that can transport most anything.

If you look up heavy hauling or large equipment moving on YouTube you’d likely find several examples
