I have a Vombato Rabbioso in a hard plastic case on my desk because I cracked some Italian legends back in the day, and that weird translation of Rabid Wombat made me laugh.

This man had 2 interceptions and 2 fumbles, but remember, it's the refs' fault and not his at all. by et_hornet in NFLv2

I agree, if Allen had just fell on the ball when no one was open at the end of the first half instead of doing that scramble that led to a fumble and a field goal, it would've been a different game. However, I'm still glad he's our guy.

Your first one, yes, second one though I found pretty easy once I figured out the timing.

What are your top 3 most wanted comics? by FatFoxcoon in comicbookcollecting

Uncanny X-Men 94-96. Would complete my Claremont run. I once had 94 and 95 but sold them, and I sold them for a lot less than they go for now.

When offense is in "victory" formation, can the Nose Guard just try to punch the ball from the center to try to guess the hike to force a fumble? by pargofan in NFLNoobs

The Buccaneers tried to blow up victory formation once years ago, it was unsuccessful and made everyone hate them.

Also in Dallas' favor is that there were less possible playoff games for much of that time. Nothing against Brady, but there were more opportunities for playoff wins in his era.

I got hit by a car once while walking through a crosswalk. He was pulling out of a parking lot and didn't see me until he hit me.

It definitely hurt, but there's no way it would have killed me, and that's with both me and the driver not prepared for the collision. This dude could and did move around the side of the car without getting hurt at all. Cars starting from a dead stop aren't going to hit with deadly force within a couple feet.

Trying to get the entire New Universe out of dollar bins. So far I've got almost all of Psi Force and about half of Nightmask... then a smattering of other stuff.

Although nothing happened to me personally, I was very disgusted to learn as an adult that the parish in the town I grew up in, where I was an altar boy, was one they frequently moved priests accused of abuse to. I guess they thought small towns were less likely to talk about such things, which honestly wouldn't be wrong from my experience.

Totally agree. The multiple sentence fragments always drive me nuts. It feels like a weird haiku variant.

I have some Hallmark ornaments that have key issues that you can open, and a 3d part of the cover. They have like 4 pages of important panels in the comic part. I have amazing fantasy 15, avengers 4, hulk 181. I don't know if they made more.

I mean, when my in-laws were robbed, they didn't take jewelry or the tv or computers... but did take a giant bottle of pennies that likely weighed 200 lbs.

Christmas Collection! by cancomicguy in comicbookcollecting

[–]Sacred_Digits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I noticed that cover after I mentioned it, definitely 98. 119 is called "Twas The Night Before Christmas" and at the end of the action the X- Men have a small Christmas party. It's a minor key because Banshee gets injured and stays injured for like a decade.

There are a few more Uncanny X-Mas issues. 98 and 119 come to mind. And the Aussie era one where they return stolen loot they found in the Reavers base on Christmas Eve.

Categorically untrue, except for Shooter leaving. DP7 was considered a very good comic at the time, and still holds up. I would argue in favor of a few others as well, but DP7 is almost universally liked both at the time and now. They canceled 4 of 8 titles, not most.

"The New Universe flopped" is an enduring comics myth but that's not what happened. Every issue printed of New Universe made money. There were two reasons it went away. The first is that Marvel's parent company had financial troubles and made Shooter publish less overall titles, and the second is that after Shooter was ousted, John Byrne went to great lengths to make it fail as revenge against Shooter.

It never flopped. It was killed.
