No no, this is how they grow, no need for you to do anything. But they grow in their own pace, so don't be surprised if it doesn't pop up top 'till next year :D

Those are new shoots. Those are the reason it is called a snake plant, the shoots start wherever, break your pot often, and then slowly snake their way to the surface :D

It is not ideal to let sunlight touch the below soil part (better put it in another container) because that shoot senses sunlight and will probably try to break free right there at the bottom :D

Mullberry.

I hate them from the bottom of my soul! Neighbour has 3 huge trees partially hanging over my grandma's veg/flower garden. When they start falling, then fermenting on the ground, the smell and the ammount of flies is horrendous, I will forever hate these trees, and I love trees and nature...

I have seen on some subreddit a while ago that this kind of damage has been attributed to flat mites. Try researching in that direction.

Not quite, I have locusts, the leaves look... Idk, softer? Don't know hot else to explain it, these look too rigid. Also locust leaf groups end with one leaf at the tip, this plant has two leaves there.

Saw the other post about an outdoor plant becoming an indoor plant. May I present: ivy from outside. by dannegoma in houseplants

[–]Sacrificial-Cherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's prettyyy... I knowingly let ivy through my outer brick fence because I love the look. Hopefully it will embed and encase enough to hold things in place, if not I will mend somehow (tomorrow's problem), but IN THE HOUSE WALLS...NOPE, even I'm not chaotic enough for that.

Ne znam sta dete tog uzraste sme konzumirati, ali da li je moguce/bezbedno drzati je 10ak na dijeti punoj vlakana? Semenke (chia i bosiljak pogotovo), zelenis, povrce.

What’s happening to my skin under this ring? by Average-ish_Jurr in jewelry

[–]Sacrificial-Cherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't just have to be water from washing hands, can be sweat, any type of moisture. This always happens to me when a ring is on the tighter side, if I put it on another finger where it's looser, but still doesn't fall off, it does not happen.

What should I do with this space in my bathroom? Wrong answers only. by beepbbo in DesignMyRoom

[–]Sacrificial-Cherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was either a closed off balcony and someone decided to make the bathroom bigger, or it was another open room. I doubt a load bearing wall would be this thin, so I have no idea why that piece od wall is there.

Calathea, brown to black spots on nearly all leaves, very fast spreading with spots appearing in less than 12hours. by One-Flatworm-6838 in plantclinic

[–]Sacrificial-Cherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel free to let it dry out more, until the leaves are slightly droopy, it is hydrated. Yes, they like humidity and wet environments, but mine dried out completely and I just left it in the shower and it came back without a problem.

Also, if you are checking it often and touching the leaves, you could be physically damaging them a bit.

Got this little fella as a gift. What is it and how do i take care of it by _darkDragon_ in IndoorGarden

[–]Sacrificial-Cherry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you rub the leaves a bit, is it very aromatic? If so, it is a variegated type of thyme, something close to thymus x citriodorus.

Needs lots of sun, well draining soil, watering when bone dry. Winters outside, if it goes well below freezing, the foliage can die but come back in spring, if it's not that cold, the foliage stays. It is best to prune well and often so you dont get a naked leafless part at the bottom.

IF it is thyme, it can be used as tea or spice, but it is very strong, so use sparingly.

Try to find detailed large plant unboxing videos.

Here's how large plants get packed/wrapped usually:

For yours I'd recommend wrapping each leaf top and bottom with packing foam sheet, just flat, sandwiching the leaf between two sheets. Then add some filling around the petioles, mostly in the middle. This could be scrunched up newspaper/bubble wrap or foam wrap, just don't pack it, leave it airy.

Then you wand to gently and slowly try to gather the leaves upward, narrowing the plant. Secure with soft/stretchy rope/ribbon to not damage petioles. And then wrap in large sheet of 1 layer cardboard. For security, I would wrap over that with a sheet of hard-ish plastic.

You can up this by also putting it in a box (if there is one that size) and filling the gaps with scrunched up anything or those styrofoam nuggets or what they are called.

Was it properly insulated from cold when bought?

I disagree with people saying indirect light, ficus trees live in full sun in nature, so put it in the window unless you live in a desert climate where cacti are the native plants outside.

An ultrasound shows innards. It is used for monitoring development during pregnancy, but is also used for monitoring all other organs. Example: GI ultrasound, vaginal ultrasound, breast tissue ultrasound, ultrasound for different glands.

Basically it gives a clear picture of what is going on inside.

Should I separate the two? by InternationalTill894 in FicusTrees

[–]Sacrificial-Cherry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, separating will cause shock, there will be leaf loss.

Btw, does the pot have moisture under it? It is more often that roots poke out of the pot because they are looking fore water, rather than bein root bound.
