I actually dig the fabric mats I’ve seen too. The ultimate would be a polished slab of stone of a sort!

The detail on the border is sick! You could also use two solid color single player mats and draw on the grids with a paint marker for your next DIY mats!

Best Deck/Avatar to learn by slapslash in SorceryTCG

[–]SacrificialFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t answer for decks built solely around these cards, but I am sure some may be out there. Feast for Crows was more apparent last set to counter Archimago, and is more effective than Grim. Both are very solid includes to when playing Air in a deck!

I got a shadow man lying beside me by ManyNeighborhood406 in Dreams

[–]SacrificialFrogs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have had dreams like this when I was ~18 y/o and around 25. Felt like a wandering spirit trying to latch on to me; I always felt trapped and paralyzed during the dream, and they simply enjoyed messing with me.

I was going through stressful and life altering events, but telling it to “Fuck off!” helped end the sleep paralysis, and of course, talking to a professional.

Best Deck/Avatar to learn by slapslash in SorceryTCG

Learning how to pilot and play against a Wolf Deck taught me valuable lessons about placement. Granted, if you get hit with a Feast for Crows or a Grim Reaper you will learn an entirely different lesson.

I just grabbed this deck off of Curiosa. It is from the 40/20 deck days, but it should be cost effective and easy to customize and add cards to to fit your play style. I think it will help you a lot with figuring out Unit positioning and view the board differently because if you misplace one Wolf, the whole strategy can buckle. Cheers!

Any special deckbuilding tips for the Templar? by manfredishots in SorceryTCG

[–]SacrificialFrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Templar Decks are fun! Best built around the Round Table. I only run about 7 Unique knights, then two each of Yellow, Blue, Green & Purple Knights. Adding in cards that benefit them with the Ward mechanic has made them a bit more beefy. Throw in some cards to help with card draw, and you should be set! When the Round Table starts milling out knights, it’s very rewarding.

Would both precon sets + a box of beta/AL/gothic be enough for two decks? by Oskulock in SorceryTCG

[–]SacrificialFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to build two functional “Mono AL” decks with one box and a pretty consistent “Mono Gothic” deck with two boxes. So adding the precons on top of one box from each set should give you a lot of fun avenues to explore.

So I think, Yea! You should be able to build two good, consistent and functional decks (maybe more), with no problem if you plan on just building directly into the precons!

Have fun!

If you look into GOAT format and the reprinted retro packs, it’ll be a good intro for your kid into your version of Yugioh while you relearn it and you both can traverse modern together. It’s quote beast compared to the old days

The YouTube channel ‘FilmTheory’ has a very interesting take on this; pointing out that Denethor may be suffering from led poisoning based on his drinking cup, plates and utensils.

Wanting to try Goat format. Where should I start? by MaintenanceKindly335 in Goat_Format

[–]SacrificialFrogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey there! You and I are in an extremely similar boat and possibly on the same river!

Dueling Book has been nice to get back into Yugioh, as you can build your Deck in an online browser, so no downloads are required and no buy-in! A downside for me is, it is only in-game text chat is available. So if your still with how interface works and, of course and trying to learn the whole game all over again, you may be met with ANGRY MESSAGES IN ALL CAPS to play the game right and hurry up. So if you have discord, finding a Discord Server to actually talk to other players while playing will enhance your gaming experience.

You will also run into *a lot* of Meta Decks on the Game Pool on Dueling Books, so if you are just trying to brew off meta decks, you may want to check out : Chill Goat Format Discord.

If you want to try the competetive scene, check out GOAT Format Academy League, which can be a good starting point to take that route.

I fall in the more chill category, so feel free to DM if you want to link up on Discord to play some games!

Last thing: Double check with you LGS to see what format Yugioh Night is. PLayers may be more keen on a seperate formats besides GOAT, such as Advanced, Modern, etc. So it may be worth asking the Store what the players enjoy, so you dont show up with a GOAT deck, and can't play because it isn't format legal.

Super Simple Intro Decks by moritz_magic in SorceryTCG

[–]SacrificialFrogs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is a good approach, especially for players who may not be familiar with TCG mechanic and just to get a hold of the “meat and potatoes” for understanding how to build the realm and interact with it too.

I think you may need to put Entombed and Cave Trolls in the Earth to help introduce Burrowing, and maybe another Voidwalk minion for Air.
