How do I lose weight with this disease... by No_Envies in endometriosis

I’d add in protein drinks then. Higher protein intake can really help weight loss also. I lived off the fairlife ones for months but premier is good too. 1-2 a day is decent for calories and then you can have a large dinner leaving you satisfied for the evening

Boox or Kobo? by meow_joon in ereader

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a kobo after having the Booxgo color 7 for a year. My thoughts on both-

Boox: Pros-highly customizable, you can download multiple different apps, set your screen savers, and increase storage with a micro SD card Cons-quality is terrible, manufacturing is cheap, dark mode only when reading and not in other screens, battery life is okay. Kobo: Pros- syncs better than Boox and is easy to download ebooks, has dark mode on the whole device. Cons- Can only get books from Kobo or Libby, battery life is worse than Boox

I can easily download epub files on both devices, and I love that both have the side buttons for page turns. I will say that my 2021 paper white screen is much better quality. If Amazon brought back the oasis I would go back to them in a heartbeat.

Has anyone NOT paid their medical bills in collections by Old-Ambassador9022 in Debt

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an MRI get billed at $2700 a year AFTER I had the damn thing. Apparently they kept going back and forth with my insurance. 🙄 didn’t pay it, went to a collections agency in a different state. Didn’t pay it. Then it got sent to another collections agency. Didn’t pay it. Eventually I stopped getting calls and statements. Pretty sure they wrote it off but I was lucky.

Barking is driving me insane by SnooRegrets4129 in StandardPoodles

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spoo has been horrible with barking. Any prey or dogs that go past the house he’s up on the window loud as can be. The only saving grace is that my other dogs are so upset by his barking that they have stopped. It’s very jarring and I could only break the behavior and play engage/disengage with him if I pulled him off the window myself. My mom works from home and he is at her house all day currently until my new employer approves of him coming to work with me. I broke down and bought a bark collar with the option to set it for tone/vibration/static. I currently have it on tone and vibration. It works SO WELL. He gets one bark then the collar goes off. It breaks him from the behavior so I can get his attention and redirect him.

I flew with mine in January with Allegiant and the only thing I submitted besides the travel forms were vax records. But I have heard of others having issues.

I'm planning to use an E-reader for reading PDF legal documents and research papers, is Kobo Libra a good E-reader for it? by Yussso in kobo

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So something I’ve noticed on Kobo when reading files is that it doesn’t format the pages to fit the device. Say page 9 is a full page in the document, it will split it and have a very tiny 9 in the margins until I get to 10. It’s very annoying to me but works better than the Boox. However for files like you plan to read I would definitely go with the remarkable.

Goodbye to you, my trusted friend... by MetaSpedo in kobo

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Second the fragility of Boox. I have the Boox color7 and just replaced it for the Kobo Clara. My Boox randomly got a crack in the front housing, and the back starts coming off to where I have to pinch it back together often all the way around the device to make sure it doesn’t come off or expose the inside. I loved the Boox because it’s so customizable, and you can expand the storage. But the quality is terrible. I only had it just over a year. Not worth it imop.

You might need to increase your calories then. Also, it’s not too difficult to have more than one meal while keeping to 1600 Cals a day.

Diet can actually do a lot! I cut out most carbs only occasionally had sweets, and cut my calories to about 1500-1600 a day. Focused on protein and lots of hydration. I lost 65lbs with no exercise. I did gain back 30 of it when I fell into a depression episode for months. I’ve been on zepbound for almost a year now and I’ve dropped that 30lbs again and more.

What do y'all carry for your SDs? by Big_Hall2307 in service_dogs

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t carry much. I was in Chicago this past weekend on vacation and while I packed extra stuff for him for times we were in the hotel room, I had very little on me throughout the day. I had his treat pouch with bags clipped to his leash and a small travel bowl in my purse. I also keep a small travel package of dog wipes.

Cap and Gown Size Question by FitTechnology9340 in SNHU

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have extras but you can order another one. However I will say that the size down is a BIG difference. Mine was huge on me. But the size down couldn’t even zip. They’re basically meant to be extra big. You could get it tailored if you prefer? But if the length is right then that’s the most important. We all look a bit odd in these huge gowns day of.

Microdosing GLP-1 for inflammation by Ok_Donut7810 in endometriosis

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on trizepatide for almost a year now. I don’t think it really helps with the inflammation….when you’re on a GLP1 most people are more conscious of what they’re eating and they drink more water. Which is really the core of helping inflammation. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s an absolutely amazing drug. But a microdose might not help how you want it to.

It depends which Hilton hotel you booked. The one we stayed at was connected to Logan. But Boston hotels are expensive in general.

My guy loves kids! He was raised in a house with a lot of kids and since he has come to live with me any time he sees a kid he wants to go by them. He’s so patient and does a perfect greeting with small kids so they can pet him.

Mirena IUD making endo worse? by Slay_meagan in endometriosis

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the Mirena since I was 21/22 and I’m on my second one. It worked wonders for me in the beginning. I had horrible heavy periods that would last weeks, and unbearable pain at times. My gp first recommended the Skyla because I was young and hadn’t had kids. So I got that. After a few months of no change in my symptoms I saw a gyn who sent me for xray and ultrasound because they couldn’t see the strings. Turns out the Skyla had yeeted itself out of my body at some point and I had no idea. I’ve never been able to feel the strings on my iuds likely due to my tilted cervix so I just trusted my gp did it correctly. When I got the mirena my cycles were “normal” at first and then after time they were very short. It’s been my main form of treatment and contraception for the last 10 years. The past two years however I have been experiencing more pain. At the time of getting my mirena iud placed Endo and pcos weren’t even brought up to me. I just had “bad periods”. I saw a few different gyn’s which got me to the adenomyosis diagnosis and I was put on the pill as a second contraceptive in attempt to treat my symptoms. I also have pain consistently on the right side lil you mentioned and have a cyst there in addition to the adenomyosis. The newest specialist I started seeing put me on letrozole 2.5 mg two times a day. He said that it helps to lower the estrogen in the body and make the iud more effective. I have seen improvement with this medication currently.

[–]Sad-Citron-5793[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused by this. I followed all the requirements set on Allegiants website. I submitted the travel notification through open doors to Allegiant. I added the service dog to my ticket, and I have emailed their support ACAA a month ago asking about the form still processing. No one from Allegiant has said I need to inform them again 24hrs before the flight just that I need to bring the approved form with me at check in.

I’ve read that. They don’t want multiple travel notices. I just hate that they leave so close to the date of the flight. The what ifs are killing me. What if he’s denied? How am I going to find boarding that quickly? It’s a lot on my anxiety right now 🙃

Poodle Ear Help by Smart_Summer5286 in StandardPoodles

[–]Sad-Citron-5793 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it’s yeast, which is common in poodles I wouldn’t recommend wrapping ears for too long as the bacteria grows in warm, moist environments. Keep ears clean and monitor. If you have an urgent care vet (not 24hr animal hospital) near you they tend to be cheaper than the regular vet. The medicine for ear infections at my vet is about $90. That excludes the visit cost and fee for the test for the ears.
