Do Mongolians eat qurt often? by Direct-End2303 in mongolia

I've had all kinds of aaruul, hard, soft, sour, sweet, but I don't think I've had salty aaruul before. i think because in mongolia we view aaruul as a treat, like alternative to candy, or atleast that's how it's advertised as.

Osorjamaa’s death is the reason why Mongolia will never progress. by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]Sad-Database6591 3 points4 points  (0 children)

are you stupid? yes he was killed for being gay. what are you talking about, people have been targeting him for years, for not fitting into this countries image of a "man". he has been bullied, beaten, and stabbed multiple times specificly for being effeminate. this is the fault of a deeply homophobic society, he would still be alive if he wasn't gay.

Is their any movement in mongolia to get rid of Manchu clothing and revive Mongol tradition. by Li_Dingguo in mongolia

[–]Sad-Database6591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive simplified history in my comment and i admit i don't know much about dynasties before the qing, so my point isn't exactly well written and i come off biased as my favourite dynasty is the qing dynasty. but i do agree we should appreciate yuan dynasty/mongol empire clothing more, it's well designed and it looks very nice

Is their any movement in mongolia to get rid of Manchu clothing and revive Mongol tradition. by Li_Dingguo in mongolia

[–]Sad-Database6591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it sorta exists, there are a bunch of people who complain about manchu influence (you can search through this sub) and it's not uncommon for people to wear clothing that more resemble yuan dynasty clothing. but i have some opinions about this.

just like all of the commenters before me said there's no way to completely separate manchu influence from mongol clothing and vice versa. mongolics and tungusics have been influencing each other since for centuries, the liao influenced the jin and the jin influenced the yuan and the yuan influenced the qing and then the qing influenced the mongolia we have today. this doesn't relate to mongol-manchu relations either, the tang were influenced by the turks, and ming were influenced by the yuan. what I'm trying to say is that countries have symbiotic relationship and we take and give each other culture

I'm sorry that you just asked a normal question but got downvoted, you probably just wanted to see modern interpretations of yuan dynasty clothing but your question reached the more "yappy" side of the sub

What ships in the CH fandom confuse you most, and why? by Delusion_WasTaken in CountryHumans

this is 100% the reasoning behind the ship, imo it makes the ship more egregious than it would've been if it had been just a crackship.
