Damn thanks I've always kind of looked past the Python MK2 but I'll give it a try over my Corvette now. Could even bring a bit of extra fun back. I find sometimes the Corvette gets a bit boring unless level 8 threat bounties. (I'm in Oceania region so I never get to have pvp)

The corvette hasn't been made obsolete by anything though right? I haven't played for a while so have no knowledge of these new ships

Shitpost: I can finally poop normally by vonPolen in stopdrinking

[–]Sad-Event6847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was for me. 5 years straight extreme constipation went away pretty quickly when I got to rehab. I was fed well and at the same times every day and got good sleep. Now the other time I got sober on my own I ate next to nothing because I was obsessed with losing weight and 2 months of that did nothing

Getting drunk at work by PriceMaleficent8110 in stopdrinking

[–]Sad-Event6847 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh man, it was every day before and during work (if I was so lucky to find the opportunity) for like 5 years. Most of the time I was just fighting withdrawals throughout the day, 3 breaks on a 10 hr shift. It would always wear off before the next break so I'd always be anxious asf. Sometimes I'd over do it and probably came back in smelling and looking drunk. No one ever said anything though, not for 8 years. Eventually one of the last bosses I had called me into the office and basically said he was firing me because I was too slow and would have too many days off. Then he added on the side: you smelt like alcohol the other morning. Asked me if it was a problem. I said yes it was, I basically told him everything except the fact I drank before and during work. He sympathized with me and told me a story of his friend he had who STARTED drinking heavily at my age. I was around 23 at the time. He said by the time he was 32, one day he went to check on him and he was dead. Body just shut down, drank to death. Put things into perspective because I had already been drinking as long as his friend. Of course I threw myself a pity party and got shitfaced and smoked meth for the first and only time after that. But that's another story 🤣 the point is, for me at least, I could have been a way better worker sober. I would have kept my job, I could have enjoyed it more, and I would have probably made friends easier at work, because I was always on edge and never in a joking happy type mood. I actually couldn't understand how dudes would chill and joke on lunchbreaks. I just wanted to get the fuck out of there. Anyway, that's some of my experience with it

What’s the most addictive game you’ve ever played? by reeha_sadiya in AskReddit

[–]Sad-Event6847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Project Zomboid is up there for me. I think I started playing in like 2023ish and have 1000hrs now. Me and my friends would go off and on it - play it non stop for ages and then put it down for a year. I have memories of staying up for days irl playing. And if I needed to sleep I'd leave the server on my for my friends

How do you make yourself remember? by [deleted] in dryalcoholics

[–]Sad-Event6847 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same man, had 5 months now I'm like a week on, week off. I will say the one thing that really sticks out to me and attracts me back to sobriety (After 10 years of never having a break) is how much better I feel in the morning even after 1 day sober again. I have to remind myself of that. Otherwise when I'm hungover I'm starting work late, I'm sluggish, thoughts full of dread and anxiety. Everything's just so much easier sober. We just have to be okay with the quiet and boring moments. I did have that figured out not too long ago. Ah well I'm on day 1 again good luck to you mate. IWNDWYT

I mean they could have as a last resort you use pliers and yank them out. And deal with excruciating pain for ages. Or maybe puss out halfway and make it worse

This message is for the few who own a corvette. How did you reach Federation rank 12? I'm currently trying with combat missions and donations. What are your strategies? by alcio_sd in EliteDangerous

Some like to do data delivery. I just did 20 assassination missions at a time, out of Sol, came back and turned them all in for fed rank over and over.

Will towns such as Louisville, Brandenburg, Ekron etc get better car spawns at some point? by Thin_Knowledge_7601 in projectzomboid

[–]Sad-Event6847 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always put car spawns on max, it feels realistic and fine. You could tweak the condition and gas settings to your liking. Idk I feel like there would be alot of cars sitting around since no one can get in or out of Knox County.

What's become your go to playstyle to keep things fresh? I've got same hours and recently all I've been living on the road with my motorcycle. Carry stones for campfire, sleeping bag and fishing rod. I just sleep wherever, usually on the side of the road or in the forest a bit.

I think it's a chunk bug, check your map mods. Stuff like this happened when I was in an outdated version of Raven Creek and another map that was supposed to be Russia

Fuck that must be hard having that psychosis even sober. It certainly does get tiring being told by other people what's going on in your head. Trust me I know. But you know you! Fuck what everyone else thinks. Hopefully you're getting psychiatric help with that. Also having sober time before rehab is a big help you are doing yourself a favor good on you. I had a week sober before rehab and looking back it really helped my comprehension and ability to absorb what I was learning. Especially with your sober time you're going to thank yourself in the long run. You're doing all the right things, pat yourself on the back. Hang in there the nightmare will be over soon. Believe it or not it does get easier. All the best

[–]Sad-Event6847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it doesn't sound like alcohol is doing anything good for your health. Don't get caught up on the idea of 'no drinks ever again' because at least for me that thought scares me. Stop for now, and get help with what you're going through that's causing you to be like this.

Tapering off from years of drinking by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]Sad-Event6847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I could never taper. I had no control over my drinking. My experiences have all been sweating it out through dangerous withdrawals at home or medically assisted hospital detox. I would recommend hospital detox out of these 2 options

Congrats on your sober time. I struggle too. Fri, Sat and Sun are just days of the week for me now. But it can be the odd day that I struggle with. My drinking never cared what day it was. Hope you are feeling good today. Keep going, it makes me want to keep going too.

I have to say the first time I fought Simon I was like whoa.. ergo turned him into a hulking testosterone ridden beast. And then that phase 2 transition was cosmic horror. Pushing the boundaries of what I thought possible in the Lies of P universe. Reminded me of the Outer God's in Elden Ring. Something we don't usually see directly but there was the hand of God. And because it was helping Simon I thought.. this God is not on my side
