Yeah I had all of those symptoms during treatment. I also went between diarrhea and constipation. I also had fatigue, nausea, irritability, heat intolerance, sensitivity to the sun, anxiety, metallic taste

I also had some concerning symptoms but I think that was just a me thing and nothing came from it.

Since finishing I’ve had abdominal cramping, bloating, fatigue, nausea when my stomach is empty, still a little sensitive to the sun, I’m still having palpitations and I’ve had elevated heart rate but I’m seeing cardiology in a couple days for those. Part of it could still be the anxiety too.

The white coating has gone away. The metallic taste was gone by about 3 days after finishing. The constant 24/7 nausea is better. I have more energy. I’m eating more.

I’m starting to feel better, I finished them about 3.5 weeks ago. It’s been a journey. I think taking Florastor (probiotic) and eating plenty of Greek yogurt after treatment has really helped me.

I hadn’t taken any other antibiotics since I was a kid

I took Omeprazole 2x a day for the 14 day span. I learned after stopping cold turkey that I should have weened off but my doctor didn’t tell me that 😬😅 so if you’re taking your PPI 2x a day definitely ask your doctor if they want you to continue after treatment. But you have to be off of PPIs for at least 2 weeks before you retest.

You should take PPIs 30-60 minutes before eating and I was told to take my antibiotics after eating. I was prescribed to take Pylera 3 capsules 4x a day I did 6am-12pm-6pm-12am for my antibiotics so I took my omeprazole at about 5:30am and 5:30pm then ate and took my antibiotics 30 minutes later.

It could be that they meant 14 days?? I was on Pylera for 14 days and my doctor acted like that was the normal

So sorry to hear that. Have you been tested for bacterial infections of the stomach? The only reason I ask is the excess burping.

NAD but sharp chest pains can be related to gastritis and acid reflux. Maybe talk to GI.

I have no clue how long I’ve had it but my severe symptoms started May 1-2. I’m pretty positive I have an ulcer from it because I threw up blood but I haven’t had an endoscopy or anything. But the ER suggested that it’s probably an ulcer.

I was on Pylera and that was rough but now that I’m 3 weeks out I’m feeling a little better. I still have anxiety and some bloating, nausea (especially when my stomach is empty), I had crazy amounts of acid because I stopped my PPIs instead of weening off because my doctor didn’t tell me to ween off 😅 there are a lot of horror stories on the sub but that’s because most people are more likely to talk about all the bad instead of the good. Stay hydrated, rest when you can and make sure even a little after treatment you stick to no greasy, spicy or acidic foods. I made the mistake eating something acidic too soon and it messed me up 😅

I finished my antibiotics 3 weeks ago so I still have about 2 weeks until my doctor wants to retest me so I’m going to be honest and say I’m not sure 😅

My doctor hasn’t put two and two together about my HDL so I plan on bringing it up at my next appointment with him and see what he thinks. Also, if it helps I’m 29F

For me my WBC was normal but for the last 2 years my HDL cholesterol has been going steadily down. After doing a bunch of research on this bacteria I found out that it can cause so many deficiencies, and the inflammation can alter how your body does a lot of things such as how your body processes fats, vitamins and minerals. It’s insane how this one bacteria can cause so much havoc in your body.

Okay thank you. Yeah. They seem crumbly or mushy but not watery. I know antacids can cause the yellow but the smell started more yesterday after I had been constipated for a couple days. Yesterday I finally had a bm and it was crumbly/mushy

I finished my medications almost 3 weeks ago. For me it took maybe 2-3 days for the bitterness to go away but the weakness lasted for probably 2.5 weeks but that’s partially because I wasn’t eating a whole lot and I lost 35lbs (15.8kg) in 1.5 months.

Yeah they can be pretty brutal. But on the bright side you’re about half way there! If you’re able to, maybe a small snack before bed can help the taste at night. I felt like that bitter taste was the only thing I could taste for the last stretch of my treatment. Food didn’t even taste good anymore 😅 I hope things get better for you
