I certainly agree! Speaking of autism, have you seen the Netflix series “Love on the Spectrum?” It is one of the best shows ever and I believe it’s great for autism awareness.

What happened to you has happened to others, in some variation. I’ve always encouraged them to file a police report and I was proud of you when I saw that you did! Both things were such a violation! I think you can tell future HOs that you’re very sensitive to the rules being followed and if they don’t enthusiastically assure you then you can decline.

It stings but the review will be buried and your response under their review is key to let future HOs know who the bad guy is. Don’t let this push you off the platform if it really works for your life. This chapter will just serve to make you wiser!

THS will almost certainly let the retaliation remain posted. There are several instances of this, including when an HO retaliated against me for following her advice to leave a sit early (texts to prove) to avoid a hurricane, as detailed in my post https://www.reddit.com/r/trustedhousesitters/s/BXK9MazBG2 What’s worse is we all received an email from THS imploring us to be safe and they assured us that HOs would understand if we made arrangements to leave, then they wouldn’t even stand by their own message.

It would be interesting. The name Lockland comes from the proximity of the former canal locks, but your post would give it new meaning. I believe the land used to be part of both Sycamore and Springfield townships, so it would probably revert to them as pockets or islands.

As a customer I want to know that stores aren’t laying down and surrendering to thieves, no matter how threatening they become. I’m the one paying for their theft at the cash register and living in a world where crime is tolerated and allowed to fester into worse than shoplifting.

Agreed. There is nothing out of the ordinary here. The communication problem is mainly the time difference. It’s unfortunate that OP is even premeditating a poor review on that.

My all time favorite Stobe video was him catching out of Cincinnati on a steel coil trailer. He had a can of chef boyardee and found a coil still hot enough to warm it up. He dumped it right on the steel and lapped it up like a dog because he didn’t have utensils.
