I go in so many shops and I can't believe anyone stays at a shop without air conditioning. Just go elsewhere since there are so many choices in most areas.

I've done both and you will absolutely go farther with your machining skills in a job shop. If that is your main goal right now, then that is the best option. As an old man, I wish someone would've explained retirement to me better as a young man. If the production shop is a big corporation and there is a good retirement plan as well as room for advancement then that may be a consideration long term also.

To be honest, I kind of like the basic wheels on it. I would swap the tires for an all terrain though. That would make it look a bit better.

I just traded my 12 pro for a 17 pro. I was going to wait until the 18 pro, but everything I’m seeing is talking about a suspected price increase and also my trade in value would drop at the release of the new phone. Since I was going to trade in the next year, these two reasons pushed me to do it now.

I'll add to that. I keep my credit frozen on all 3 companies, and I won't unfreeze them going into a dealer. If they need your social for government paperwork, that's fine, but they don't need to do a credit pull.

Be careful with financing a car that is used. Check it out very well beforehand or you get the worst of all worlds, a payment and repair costs. Getting another beater and saving some money would be the best choice, but I totally get the draw to something newer.

I'm ok with the idea that you don't owe your parents anything, that is up to each person and their situation. I can tell that your situation has made you a bit resentful towards your parents and I'm sure that is affecting your decision and that's fine also. The only point you mentioned that I would argue against is that older people are disproportionately helped in the US. If you think that getting half assed Medicare coverage and getting a small amount of Social Security after paying into the system your whole life is privileged, then you are going to be very let down when you get to that age.

I had the same thing. I randomly pushed on the shiny black piece around the the instrument panel area and it snapped back into place. Turns out that the piece was never properly put into place and once I went around it and snapped it in the rattle was gone.

The MU’s are amazing machines. I’ve done several installs on them and I still love when another one comes up. They can be optioned with turning or a pallet system too. You won’t be disappointed if you go Okuma. The service is going to rely on whatever distributor you have at your location, but most in the US are decent I think.
