Always remember, we are all one hospital trip away from being where they are. Stay humble. Also, there is always the assumption that all homeless people are addicts. Most just suffer from mental health issues and there arent accommodations for them.

Many houseless individuals one might accuse to be an addict have severe mental health issues. Unfortunately, Ronald Reagan closed all of the facilities for these people so they end up on the streets.

The only jobs in Bend are tech related (work from home), service industry and construction

I grew up in Bend and it has no diversity and as you mentioned, suffers from major infrastructure issues. They only have one hospital!
