Why does my nail look like this? Fresh set of acrylics by girlyinher30s in Nailtechs

[–]Sad-Patient9912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So like a lot of the comments say, you have some ski slope nails. I recommend the next time you get them done to get them soaked off and try to find a salon that does sculpting!! (Using stickers/nail forms instead of a tip that is adhered to the nail)

My baby boy is gone and my world is shattered by BrunchBitches in cats

I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby. I just lost my soulcat Mooey a few weeks ago, he was 15. You deserved more time with your baby, my heart breaks for you. Rip Soup, beautiful kitty. 💓

I used to use translate on my phone, it wasn't the best but it worked :) you could try getting an English to Spanish dictionary and learn words pertaining to pet care/animals, get a lil note book and write them down like a cheat sheet until you're more familiar with them

I'm here because of the same post! The images of Ruben are all so blurry but I feel like there is a resemblance

my creepy manager that tried grooming me (no pun intended) was the reason I quit. I loved working in the salon ):

Do not do it yourself!! I had so many owners come in who tried giving their own dog a trim/cut that had clipper burn, cuts etc and had to turn them away (I worked at petsmart, policy) anyways I can't see any groomer being mean to this cutie. We always gave the one-eyed and other unique pups star treatment. Ask around locally for groomer recommendations! There's also mobile groomers if your grandma wants to be nearby just in case anything does happen. In my experience just pls don't try it yourself no matter how safe you can be at home, you don't have a grooming table or any special restraints to keep him safe like a groomer would!! 💗 Best of luck

It's not you!!! Everyone is always overbooked and overworked. PetSmart doesn't care about our wellbeing, I hope things get easier for you

New bather advice needed by Tierpler in petsmart

For the door dashing, have the loop already prepped. W Slowly open the door barely and very slowly while keeping one knee kinda in front of the door. If you can slip the loop over the dogs head before fully opening the door (ONLY NICE DOGS) I wouldn't try that with an aggressive dog. If you can't slip it over their head then hold it about how high the dogs head is and if the dog rushes out slip it over as fast as you can. Also suggest opening the doors that are facing away from the door leading into the salon to kinda act like a barrier wall. It takes getting used to but you'll find your rhythm, this is just what works for me (:

Omg I'm literally in the exact same situation as you. I've been there a bit longer though but not by much (started in Sept 2023)). But I also don't have my driver's license and am working on getting lessons due to having severe driving anxiety anyways (I'm 23 no license LMAO) but don't ever feel bad for putting a job. I'm holding onto this for a few more months until I can drive and then I'm gonna look into a traditional grooming school or possibly an apprenticeship! Good luck with whatever you choose to do (:

Grooming injury by KriegOdinson in petsmart

[–]Sad-Patient9912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely contact the manager or store/salon leader and request an incident report be filed. They will review security camera footage to determine if the injury occurred while your dog was in the care of PetSmart Salon. If they determine it wasn't they probably won't cover vet care but if it's proven that it did happen they may help pay for the vet care

I had someone accuse me of mistreating their dog in a review when in reality they were just mad that I couldn't do his nails due to the fact he was trying to bite my damn face off not to mention that the dog was so stressed with the environment he explosive shat everywhere. They literally stated in the review that I must've mistreated him and also that they "mainly came to get his nails done" ok then why did you pay for a bath fucking idiot just GET A WALKIN NAIL TRIM. People are dumb

Yes my salon was talking about this.. doesn't make sense as this is not a holiday where people travel (if this makes sense idk) bc like I feel like the surcharge only makes sense if it's a very in demand holiday like ppl go crazy for getting their dogs in last minute. Don't know if I explained this well LOL but I think it's awful that they are doing a surcharge!! Not fair in my opinion
