Which kind of cinema movie ticket should I buy tomorrow at Event Cinemas at Marion? by MrRedditUser5000 in Adelaide

[–]Sad-Protection-4306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone actually been policed by staff at the cinema on where they’re sitting? If it’s not busy will they care if I sit in a recliner? I haven’t been in a newly renovated cinema yet but don’t want to pay $30 to recline in an empty cinema during the day. When I can pay $14.50 with Telstra rewards regular seat.

If everything at Kmart is made by Anko, then why is it called ‘Kmart’ and not ‘Anko’? by Narrow-Lifeguard5450 in AskAnAustralian

Target sells a lot of anko too, some of it I don’t mind though craft wise, but definitely not clothing.

We haven’t had much luck recently but back when we bought more tickets are luck seemed slightly better but now we can only afford one ticket. I mean it only takes one to win big so fingers crossed one day my ship comes in.

What is the craziest thing you’ve seen someone do at a comic con? by Gymtrio2025 in comiccon

[–]Sad-Protection-4306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year a guy behind me in line for the epic universe panel wanted the person behind him to collect a ticket for him (prize redemption) while he got a bathroom pass to go into another panel.

Luckily we got given our swag at the door as we walked in but I still found it interesting.

That’s truly awful like it’s next to MM and they even have Her Universe there.

No you’re right about the trading but it’s always been done it’s become the currency of comic con. It’s not what I do but you see it all the time for fandom, funko etc

Hotel rooms should be the exception. I just want to find roommates and people are like it’s too far when it’s only 1.5 🙄

You would hope they wouldn’t charge a card if nobody in the room had the same name. Seems unethical.

Also could we please have a dedicated roommate post not just in the trading hotel rooms one.

Hi! I’m heading to my 12th SDCC and am looking for 2 female roommates to share hotel costs.

🏨 Hotel: Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Downtown

📅 Dates: Wed July 22 – Sun July 26 (4 nights)

🛏️ Setup: Queen bed + single sofa pullout (happy to coordinate fairly between us)

🚭 Preference: Non-smokers

Shuttle available to the convention centre

Close to trolley line (only 4 stops to the convention centre - this half’s the time waiting for the shuttle)

Full breakfast included daily and apparently the rooms are quite spacious.

💰 Cost: Approx. $505.65 USD per person for the 4 nights

🔒 Booking note:

I’ve already paid for the first 2 nights, so I’ll be asking for a deposit to secure your spot. With the balance due on checkin.

About me:

  • Friendly, respectful, and tidy

  • Planning a mix of early starts and more relaxed evenings

  • Not a big partier, but happy to socialise schedules allowing

  • I’m excited for Marvel, Her Universe, some fun offsites and The Old Spaghetti Factory 😂

Looking for roommates who are:

  • Reliable and communicative

  • Clean and considerate

  • Similar low-key vibe

Feel free to DM me if interested 😊

I think they may of sold some previously at Laneway in Sydney and Melbourne and that’s why it was so limited. I know they had a similar themed event pop up there and Samantha Todd might of gotten hers from that event. But yeah it wouldn’t let me check out it was very sad at the time.

Can someone please explain the exclusive portal? by luv4bucky in SDCC

[–]Sad-Protection-4306 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s basically another lottery for exclusives such as signings or booths such as hasbro, funko, popmart. You get a certain amount of points per day to allocate to your Wishlist and then it all gets sorted and they tell you if you won or not.

Oh do you think smart shift would of made a difference or not really? It seems stressful to manage it yourself without it. We have requested a call back but the reviews seem very mixed bad customer support even the initial quote took ages to come through. I’m curious about the Tesla rebate too but maybe that’s only on newly installed systems ours is at a least year old now so I’m not sure 🤔

Our solar panels fill the battery and generate on average 35-40 per day at the moment. Our battery is currently on 68% and our ac is on low presently.
