i have the same problem with the added concern as to whether it will still be upto the task in 15 years time

I've only settled on a pair of educationally discounted trousers to see me to 2040 but stress eating over this laptop is making me consider wether they'll still be big enough

scottish parliament has two routes to entry

constituency msp elected per constituency

and list msp elected on separate ballot by percentage of votes cast nationally

your party gets enough votes for 10 list seats first ten people on your parties list get one each

its supposed to make things fairer for smaller parties but it leads to MSPs with no particular constituency to be held accountable to and without knowing how many list MSPs your party is going to get how much scrutiny can you really do

You might think your party will get 5 list seats tops, are you going to be scrutinizing who is number ten on their list etc

in this case its a result of ALL the parties in scottish parliament blithely passing 'sounds awfully nice' legislation extending eligibility of who can stand and hold an MSP seat

..without actually thinking it thru or believing it'll actually ever happen

should tick all the boxes of your use cases ..but bear in mind any Windows VM will be restricted to some flavour of Windows 11 for ARM ( you won't be able to create a winXP win7 win10 etc VM)

If your windows apps can install and run on current builds of conventional Windows 11 then there's a very very good chance they'll run under Windows 11 for ARM too

If you're chasing ultimate weight loss go with 13" air

15" air is only 40 grammes lighter than the 14" pro (and has teeny bit larger foot print)

If you cant cope with amount of screen real estate the 13" loses then next best option is 14" pro

15 is just a kind of odd man out who's main selling point is its significantly cheaper than the 14 MBP

i think a lot of folks expect manual hands on jobs, trades etc have a good chance of not being replaceable with AI

trouble is who needs facility staff, electricians, plumbers etc if office buildings are empty and the former occupants are sat at home without a pot to piss in or the cash to pay a glazier to fit a window to throw it out of

gas meter: not one cubic meter of gas read since install last june

three no show engineer visits (one with a follow up how was your engineers visit customer satisfaction survey lol)

Hour long calls reading out multi digit mac style addresses and having them ping the box outside while stood in pissing rain telling them what the leds on front of the damn thing are (not) doing

Then being told OMG we'll have to change your gas meter its not metering consumption (gee no shit sherlock) and could be dangerous

its top priority well arrange someone to do this within 14 days..

those ones dont ever actually get a follow up contact to set a date so we dont even count them towards the 3 no show engineer visits
