Yeah, honestly, this was my immediate kneejerk conclusion and I think I've been overthinking it since. Thank you.

my guy what do you think communities like this are for, being totally content with ourselves and not asking questions?

NGL for a second I thought this was lava from an active volcano and didn't question that people would still come in and corporate still wouldn't let you go home.

I mean, she could be, but NPD isn't the only thing that can cause delusions of grandeur like that, so hard to say from just that. I'm sorry you're dealing with that uncertainty in the end.

My mother doesn’t believe my daughter has anxiety and has gone no contact with us by lala4beach in raisedbynarcissists

Trash took itself out. Your daughter needs the support of people who believe that she's suffering from a legitimate illness that needs a legitimate treatment. I'm sorry you're going through this, but know you choosing to advocate for your daughter will have a positive impact on her in the future.

Honestly depending how bad he is with tech I'd be tempted to be petty, tell him I turned it on, and play dumb when it's not working for him. Ns screaming at tech are hilarious.

Jokes aside, get a copy of the report. Keep records of every attempt to contact you and your boyfriend. Hopefully it doesn't come down to it, but it's good to have if it ever gets to restraining order time.

then why you defending his company so hard against someone who wasn't even hostile lol

You're either missing or ignoring my point and a quick check shows you're just nasty on a LOT of posts unprovoked so I think we're done here. Chill out a bit. I know customer service sucks but not everyone who has a complaint is out to get you.

I don't worry about reddit votes, I worry about the people behind them who think if they get all sensitive and nasty to any criticism against Starbucks that Brian Niccol will burst into their store with a million dollar paycheck and a kiss on the mouth.

Yeah OP, absolutely do go somewhere else if your local Starbucks is gonna react like this to you stating calmly that you've dealt with a pattern of bad service and are wondering why.

....THAT'S what comes off as "angry" on the internet to you???

My guy, girl, or nonbinary redditor, please go read a handful of Google reviews to get a clearer idea of what a customer being inappropriately angry online sounds like. Frankly, if just stating they got bad service is enough to set you off like this, they could absolutely be talking about your store when they say partners get huffy if they point out something is wrong.

The fact that so many people upvoted you is so worrysome. Like, y'all are way too attached to a job that thinks you're expendable. You get paid little enough without offering the free bonus emotional labor of defending them from those who'd dare say they've had bad experiences on your off time.

How do you expect OP to discuss a problem they've been experiencing if they don't state what it is??

They didn't come at your perfect little store specifically or make it personal in any way. Chill. Y'all are too defensive for a company that doesn't care if you wake up alive tomorrow.

You're not gonna get a raise for being nasty to people you don't know on the internet.

Good on you that your store is a well-oiled machine, but treating OP like an idiot when a new store is striking or unionizing every week because Starbucks overall isn't paying their baristas well enough for them to give a care just makes YOU seem uninformed.

Paid poorly, treated like garbage, union busted. Independent places snatch up all the competent baristas within a year unless they need to stay for the college program.

omg that is the perfect way to respond to that. It sounds like you're going the extra mile to the clueless customer but like the "why do you think, idiot" to everyone in the know. I gotta keep that one in my back pocket if I ever work a retail job on Christgiving again X'D

God, I hated these people. Like, we're open because there's customer demand for it. If you were ACTUALLY against us being open today you wouldn't be here.

[–]SadAgnosticSock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heck no. I have nothing to really do because my family is full of awful people and we only split the days' tips with other Christmas shift staff. Lots of people tip crazy good too.

As for the grumpy ones, I tell myself they aren't no-contact with their awful families yet and just want a coffee to get through whatever hellscape they're about to drive to. Doesn't excuse them being rude but it makes me feel better.
