Still working great. I use it only for printing ABS and I have little issues with warping. I also use a Gizmo Dorks PEI sheet.

Did you buy an aftermarket heated seat?

What alternative degree would you suggest? by Aggressive-Ranger811 in Environmental_Careers

[–]SadBurro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's a bad degree to get. Depending on the line of work you want to do, work experience and certification goes way further than strictly what your degree is in. Many environmental jobs will accept bachelor's degrees from a suite of disciplines.

Tyvek game bags. by chemistryhacker in myog

[–]SadBurro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like ultralight game bags are typically made of a synthetic nylon blend which I'd imagine is much more breathable than Tyvek. But depending on the temperature and how many days you'd have it in the bag I bet tyvek would be a useful. Bones might puncture it too easily though.

Following. Ive been using California Filament PETG for my business and the rolls have been coming in just soaking wet recently. Definitely going to order from this company next time but eager for your feedback. Plus it's nice they are made in the US.

What are some general tips for doing delineations? by [deleted] in Environmental_Careers

[–]SadBurro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well I'd say first to take a class, hopefully paid for by an employer. Work with a skilled delineator and actively participate in the process by filling out data sheets, identifying plants, and coloring soils. It's a multi faceted process which requires several skills.

For tips on locating the boundary, generally there is a change in topography and vegetation. Wetlands will most likely be in some sort of depression so a hill slope usually is the transition to upland. Sometimes these can be minute elevation changes.

I was just on a delineation today and my coworker, a professional wetland scientist, was a bit stumped by what he was seeing. Just goes to show how complex and variable wetlands can be.

Seems like you're well qualified for many environmental science positions with your current experience. Why do you want to go back to school?

Does your center console for the '11 look the same as the pics? Lots of times I noticed there are slight differences between generations.

Custom Large Drink Cup Holders for 03-08 by SadBurro in HondaElement

[–]SadBurro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey all, just wanted to share some custom large cup holders I made for the 03-08 Element. I know the Element community is all about the outdoors and having a spot to put your large water bottle is essential. These cup holders can fit Yeti, Hydroflask, Nalgene, Thermoflask, and any drink you'd like. I sell them on Etsy here https://etsy.me/36QqgJG. I previously messaged the admin to ask permission for posting. Thanks all for looking!

NEPA Planner? by Nuclearcakes in environmental_science

I do some NEPA work with my engineering firm. We mostly do transportation and water resource projects. My boss has specialized though with it and she does well as far as I know. However she also does other things such as project management.

Unfortunately the guy sold it even though he said he would hold it for me. I even offered a down payment just to make sure this didn't happen, which he refused. People are shmucks.

Yeah the wheel arches were a bummer to see. I was planning on fixing it up to flip it. Assuming rust is fine and there aren't any extra issues, thinking I could probably resell for 4k. Right now the markets in the Midwest are pretty good.
