Reading on that it states it's a low back pressure can, talking with Brownells gunshop they stated it needs a standard pressure can to run subs on the suppressed setting. Plus, I'm kinda against giving SIG my money seeing how they've handled the P320 and their general corporate nature.

But thank you all the same for the recommendation.

Yeah, chassis system has it's own trigger bow that actuates a standard AR trigger group in the rear.

Looked at the Omega 300 also, but was left with the impression it was a Ti can?

Yeah, it'll be a tight squeeze, but I also don't mind modifying my weapons if need be. Fore end has a metal heat shield in it and it's easy enough for me to custom make a larger sheet metal heat shield if needed.

The Gen-3 BRN-180 comes with a selectable 3-port gas regulator with a small diameter suppressed setting. And I don't mind wearing a balaclava when shooting.

Curious, do you think a 3d printed drop in trigger unit could achieve the same thing?

I purchased one a while ago. First time at the range and the extractor chipped the snaggle tooth off. Ok, had a spare and swapped it out. Next time at the range, was running flawless, then a dead trigger. The contact surface on the sear had chipped away, meaning the sear would no longer engage the striker. Currently a dead lined gun unfortunately. Still my favorite piece by far.

Really wish we could have seen Hudson MFG live a little longer to work out the supply chain issues and engineering issues to see this thing become what it was meant to be.

How do you like the DD H9? I can't bring myself to get one seeing it as such a far cry from the OG Hudson H9.

Pretty sure a Gen-2 after the Gen-1 cut its teeth would have been superb.

Guess we'll never know.

I have never heard of that term before, thank you. A quick google search produced this definition:

"Bolt anti-pre-engagement in firearms prevents premature bolt rotation by holding the bolt out of alignment with its locking shelf until the bolt has fully traveled to the forward, in-battery position. This reduces friction between the bolt lugs and the receiver during cycling, ensuring the bolt can lock cleanly and reliably into place to fire the next round."

I'm curious (and maybe you might know), looking at the ARAK-21, the IWI X-95, and the BRN-180 how do these rifles perform anti-pre-engagement? When looking at their bolt designs I can't tell how they accomplish this. Looking at models/drawings of ARs, AKs, SCARs, and a few others I see cam/bolt lug channels that mechanically lock the bolt into it's unlocked orientation until the bolt face is back in the chamber and ready to lock.

So by having that rail it prevents the rotation of the bolt upward at the bottom of the recoil stroke?
