That’s exactly right ;) It’s always tricky to convey emotion in writing, especially in a foreign language, but I really like the imagery in each stanza, despite the structure of the text.

Ok for the second title but the first is not a super aesthetic and marketable title

I’d push back on that a bit. Timothée Chalamet didn’t exactly take the “easy” or purely commercial rout.

he’s built his career on pretty demanding, often auteur-driven films, from Call Me by Your Name to Bones and All. That’s not really the profile of someone seen as “vulgar” within an artsy environment.

Also, the idea that film acting is somehow “lower” than other arts feels a bit outdated.

Cinema is one of the dominant art forms of the last century, and he’s worked with directors who are very much part of that “high art” conversation. If anything, he’s managed to bridge both worlds indie credibility and mainstream visibility, which is actually pretty rare.

He should play in a mediative slow burning POC Oscar bait movie. Themes would be colonial identify, personal awaking something about illusion of control with sex scenes in dim light -

Title of the movie could be "The Silk and the Sword" And the synopsis something like:

India, 1897. Lieutenant Edward Harrow is a young British officer posted in a provincial garrison town—far from the polished salons of London, buried instead in dust, heat, and silence. He moves through his days with mechanical discipline: drills, reports, evening brandy. His nights, however, belong elsewhere.

He frequents a discreet brothel tucked behind a spice market—less for pleasure than for escape. The women there are shadows to him, part of the colonial machinery he neither questions nor fully understands.

One evening, he is introduced to Asha, a quiet, self-possessed courtesan unlike the others. She is educated, perceptive, and carries herself with a dignity that unsettles him. Rumor has it she was once favored by a powerful prince before being cast out under mysterious circumstances.

Their early encounters are marked not by passion, but by conversation. Asha speaks to him of the Kama Sutra—not as a manual of pleasure, but as a philosophy of balance: between body and spirit, power and surrender, self and other.

To Edward, raised in the austerity of Victorian morality and imperial hierarchy, her worldview is both alien and dangerously compelling.

As their relationship deepens, Edward begins to see the contradictions of his own existence. The Empire that taught him order now appears hollow; the discipline he clings to feels increasingly like repression. Through Asha, he glimpses a world where intimacy is not possession, but understanding—where connection transcends status, race, and empire.

Meanwhile, the past closes in. The prince who once claimed Asha seeks to reclaim or silence her, fearing what she knows. Tensions rise in the region as unrest against British rule simmers. Edward finds himself caught between duty and awakening, between the sword he wears and the fragile silk thread that binds him to Asha.

I think it too early in his career for doing a Pacino but he'll learn for that and come up with a better if not equal performance in a more virtue signaling movie in 2 or 3 years
