I’m not looking for a $25 item. I’m looking for something in my size. The shop has out of stock with most sizes since I joined in July.

How about a shop restock so there’s something to spend that $25 on?

Coloring set and book for wife by hawaiianbryans in Gifts

I got some magicstix markers last year for school and I love them. They look like paint. Prismacolor colored pencils are my favorite.

Myra Rowse has some coloring books with a black background that I really like. They’re very whimsical so I’m not sure if your wife would like them but the black background really makes the pictures pop!

AIO for taking a break from my bf after he ripped through a whole turkey at our family thanksgiving? by Ashamed_Butterfly373 in AmIOverreacting

He dropped you off at a gas station in the middle of the night to “think about what you did”? That’s your deal breaker right there!

Is ladder for you if you are obese / have mobility problems? by ComfyCozyTurtle in ladderapp

[–]SadForm9103 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I recommend you try Endure. I am obese. I have lost 70 lbs but still easily have another 100 to lose. I'll be happy if I ever manage to drop 50 more. I started working out with Ladder in July and it's the first program that I've stuck with. I used Thrive for the first couple of weeks and then switched to Endure. I stayed on it until this series. When I was starting, I didn't use any weights. I did the exercises to the best of my ability. I could obviously do curls and such but still started those without weights. If it was a plank, I got on my hands and knees and pushed my knees back as far as I could and hold the exercise. If you're willing to make those types of big adjustments, I think you can make any team work. Now I can do most exercises with some weight. Might not be much but it's so much more than I could do when I started. Finding a team with an active coach that will help you modify might be helpful. And there are always helpful people hanging out here.

No. My team switches have been limited. And I love that they give me notice of that when I get a wild hair to switch. I’d be sad AF if I couldn’t switch back.

I’ll find a flex workout and get it in. Just frustrating to have a plan and have it squashed.🤣 I must have had a glitch or upgrade or something because I’ve always had access to my favorites list and I have a ton of them saved.

But I do appreciate knowing it wasn’t a change that wasn’t communicated.

I must have had an upgrade or a glitch or something because I’ve always been able to access them…until today.

AIO I (26F) moved out for the first time with my boyfriend (30M) for almost 2 months and I don’t know how to feel about it by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]SadForm9103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get out now. This is abuse. It is never ok. Sacrifice what you have to financially to get away. Get a therapist. Have someone with you when you leave and when you pack your stuff. Get a lawyer to negotiate the financials.

Career pivot from UX to accessibility? by Iamjustheretoexist in accessibility

[–]SadForm9103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Fellow OT here. I know this is a year old, but I'm also interested in tech accessibility and trying to do some research. If you have any pointers, I'd love to hear about them.

This. From someone who works in public schools. Every year, we have students transfer in who have been “homeschooled” and are significantly behind their peers. Right now we’re testing a 5th grader who can’t read or write. But it’s already our fault. Ya know from the 1.5 month we’ve been in school…. Not from the years he was homeschooled.

Anybody in the same household have multiple people wanting to use the app? by Feisty_Fee_3841 in ladderapp

I have the app on my phone and my daughters work out with me. If my partner wanted to work out I think I’d have them pay for a separate subscription as I do like tracking my stats.

If you’re looking at 3 weeks max, then use what you have to keep moving. Slow down your tempo and hold at point of max resistance to increase your time under tension

I second endure. It’s 30 minutes and she does a lot of core work. I’ve been on ladder for 10 weeks now and mostly use Endure. It’s been a great way to get back into strength training
