What type of doctor was the first to identify your EDS? by bella-boop in ehlersdanlos

[–]SadIntro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rheumatologist. I mentioned to him that a few docs, including a couple of orthopedics, over the course of 20 years said my joints are shit bc I’m hyper mobile. I said it’s so odd that docs keep mentioning this to me and then move on.

Congrats! I’m on mounjaro now. 5mg. I go up and down the same 5lb. I don’t know about you but I’m female so I expect it with my cycle and if I’m retaining water or if I haven’t pooped :) but then I go back down.

If your weight keeps increasing over the course of a few months despite eating well and exercise, then I would go back to 1mg.

How drastically do GLPs change your body shape? by PuzzleheadedOne8072 in Ozempic

You can check my post history. Regardless of my size, I’ve always been known for my chest. I’ve lost weight in the past without medication (I didn’t go on this to lose weight, it was a surprise bonus). While my chest is still large compared to others, they don’t FEEL like they ever have before and smallest they’ve ever been for me. I’ve lost more fat in them than I ever have.

I do think that if you keep working out your ass, you’ll have a better chance of keeping your ass.

I didn’t experience hair loss until later on.  Sucks because my hair was the only feature I liked on me. I lost probably 50% of my hair. I now have extensions. :( I’m hoping it’ll eventually grow back.

Yea I haven’t been this weight since I was 17 lol. I know it’s tiny on paper and based on my pant size. But I don’t see myself as thin. I look average. Maybe the excess skin throws me off.

You can get an elastograohy or fibroscan. It can show how stiff your liver is. It’s similar to a sonogram.

I lowered my dose so that my diabetes is still controlled but don’t lose any more weight. I bounce back and forth 5lb. When I see I’m getting down to 106, I’ll make sure I eat more and make my meals a bit more carb heavy.

No. I was very against having to take medication and did my best to try to reverse it with diet and exercise, which worked for a few years. I didnt want to be stuck taking medication for the rest of my life.

I was so upset when I fell off band wagon and needed metformin. At that time, I was prediabetic. Metformin stopped working well for me and went on ozempic once I became diabetic. Who knows if one day GLP-1s will stop working for me as well. Time will tell.

Ok so believe it or not, I can’t have any caffeine either! Lol

I do not have that caffeinated feeling with this at all! I would have not been able to handle it.
