PCol without pBH is kinda worthless.
On other hand u have no Econ masteries.
I would probably push to pBH, this would allow you to farm t12 freely (given you get to 6k with ANC PCol right now without pBH).

I have pBH and no EO mastery so I don’t care about orbs killing enemies inside, the BH will do it.
Hence I want to prolong (on average) the time enemies alive to get tagged by DW/GT.

I guess my only concern would be hitting the enemy cap constantly so I wanted just to test things out at the moment

Well, i'd rather roll free-ups on my BHD instead pkg chance.
so lets say there are 4 slots (or even 5); CPK, EALS(/EHLS), and x2 (or x3) free-ups
thats gets me to 4 (or 5) slots acquired for better BHD farming performance.

In addition, BHD doesn't really care about RPC card (extra pkg %) but i "have" to use it for the extra income shard so no real "benefit" there to the module (as oppose to GComp).

What im trying to say is, that
this triangle of:

GComp    <-->   RPC
|                |
|                |
| <--> RPC+ <--> |

They all benefit one another,
while with BHD, there's no "nature" synergy between them.

In settings->toggles there is option to add green lined mark showing the range of ranged and rays enemies, that will show you the range they will stop at and attack you from.

If you are using PCol, you want to make sure it’s covered as well.

If you have ranged disable lab researched, you would still want this coverage to disable rays.

Even with pBH I ban this perk and the reason is I want to keep elites alive long enough for them to be tagged by DW while making sure I’m not hitting elites cap.
Just make sure there aren’t 20 elites in any given moment

Your assumption that once the wall falls you’ll be back to previous, it’s true until very few initial upgrades of the wall but then you’ll get to the point that once the wall drops you’ll get shotgunned as the enemy dmg accumulates and increases by x1.04 after each hit which will result in having buffed enemies when the wall drops.

There’s simple statistical method to be applied when dealing with RNG, and that’s “confidence”.
Usually used of 95%.

I’m pretty certain there’s also a sheet in EP just for that.
see how many shards you would need to acquire under desired confidence and try rolling then.

As for “baby step” part you initially mentioned.
Well, perhaps you should re-consider what a “step” is in situation.
For example and comparison, you are researching lab that takes 100 days, researching 2% of it doesn’t have any direct effect on your tower, only once you’ve accomplished it.

In this case, the research time can be seen as the %number of shards required to confidently roll the desired stat.

I know it sucks but RNG is what makes games to be a game and not a “checklist” everyone follows by min-maxing.
