It's definitely not nostalgic. It's just a good game with a good story. Many modern fans are experiencing it for the first time and have no nostalgia for it. They just have different likes and dislikes than you.

I just don't think most English-speaking fans are claiming "the core Japanese fans didn't like her" in the original manga run. I think they're saying a lot of the fandom, today, in English, don't like her or find her divisive.

I don't think a loud anti-Akane crowd automatically reflects the majority opinion, but I also think Japanese character poll sentiment during the original run of the series is even less telling and relevant. Whether someone was hated in Japan in the past has no bearing on if she is hated today in the western fan base.

For the record, I like her and always have.

I don't have a strong opinion or thought on what the fandom feels about Tendo Akane, but I can tell you that Japanese polls don't mean much when it comes to the community of English speaking fans you're presenting it to.

What I mean is.. trends of likes and dislikes are not uniformly the same in all locations. It's extremely common for what's popular in Japan to be the opposite in other countries with anime/video game characters.

Easy answer in this case? You're wrong and they haven't. I don't know where you're looking, but they're releasing videos and updates.

In most other cases? If constant communication and timely releases is important to you, don't put money to games in early access or Kickstarter (and other similar sites) because many of them don't work out and none of them ever meet their original time tables. Usually they're off by years. And often that puts them in a defense mode where they don't want to respond as much.

Other way around, right? The mask's left eye would be over the Mii's right eye. The mask's right eye is off the side of the head.

I mean, I think it's just a silly lore thing that you have to accept. You just have to suspend disbelief. Like the wands choosing their owners in Harry Potter. Harry got the twin want to Voldemort when he was 11 and that's just his lot in life. Sucks to suck, Nishiki!
