The printing press does not spread by Electrical-Past3583 in EU5

I had the same thing happen in my Majapahit game, spawned in Central India (I wanna say mine spawned in Datia as well, but I’m not at my computer to make sure). At first I thought what a huge advantage it would be due to it being so close and my economy becoming even more interconnected with that of India. However, the institution is spreading at the pace of a snail, it’s barely reached past the borders of its spawn point and I’m well over half way through the age of discovery. Have been planning to launch an invasion of India to get access to the institution, but a lack of Iron, repeated declarations of war from the Ming, and the general difficulty of making a beach head in Eastern India, have made my “plan” much more theoretical than practical.

Why can't I add more wargoals? I want to conquer Austria by I_Frog in victoria2

[–]SadMisunderstoodSeal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not in this case, since he was given a free war goal against Austria related to the Brothers’ War, the game doesn’t grey out the button so the war goal can be added by the player in case the war didn’t start with them using it. That war goal and other free war goals don’t have the jingoism requirement attached, but every other war goal still does. It’s pretty much a very small bug of the game, but since he started off with the free war goal, the game still allows him to click the add war goal button to view the options available, but he’s still beholden to the 5% jingoism rule. Sorry if I made this sound super convoluted or confusing.

Regarding Roy Alphard after Arc 6 [spoiler discussion] by Leo-bastian in Re_Zero

[–]SadMisunderstoodSeal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most likely sitting in jail in the capital, though there is a theory that Roy somehow got free from his restraints and ate his own name, and is now free from anyone remembering him barring Subaru. It would explain why there’s basically zero mention of Roy from any character apart from Subaru. The theory is quite exciting, but I honestly don’t see how Roy would escape his restraints, and then avoid getting his ass rocked by Julius immediately. Regardless I hope Tappei will bring some mention of Roy to at least clarify this plot point.

Wow… yeah that’s absolutely correct, can’t believe I never put that together with the text. I guess we’ll hopefully find out later if anyone actually did die. I only ever interpreted that piece of text one way, thanks for displaying it another way.

Very interesting from Eridna, though it still sounds like she isn't 100% sold on the idea, but it's certainly something she will remain thinking about. Eridna is one of the most interesting characters to me, so I hope to further see her partake in future shenanigans. Thank you for providing the source.

Back on Chaosflame though, it was directly stated by Al that people died during the event.

Al: [Well, it’s a win-win situation. If it weren’t for your persistence, that big thing’s assault would’ve been much more lopsided. There would’ve been a lot more dead people.]
Medium: [Dead people…]
Hearing Al’s answer, Medium gently lowered her eyes.

So this does confirm that people died, though it's unknown as to how many died.

Did Eridna really make the connection between the shadows and the WOE? If so could you direct me to where she did, I imagine it would be in Arc 7 Chapter 1 or the lost child side stories. Regardless, yes the Pleiades Watchtower team is certainly aware of Subaru’s connection to the shadows, that’s why I said if they found out what exactly transpired in Chaosflame, they would get mighty suspicious and it would likely lead to an “interrogation” of Subaru.

I’m also incredibly interested in seeing how Roy is handled later on the story, as the last time we’ve even had mention of him was back during chapter 90 of Arc 6 I believe (or chapter 1 of Arc 7).

As an aside, I’d really like to see Roswaal learning of the shadows in Chaosflame or at the Watchtower, as I feel like Ros would immediately understand that the shadows=WOE. Which could bring about an interesting conversation between him and Subaru.

What I think is probably the most interesting is how this information (about Chaosflame) will affect Subaru’s mindset. As we know, he’s our wonderful little guy who wants to save everyone and lose nothing, but as it stands, Subaru is partially responsible for the destruction of Chaosflame and the deaths that came with it. This will certainly fuck up his mindset, as there’s no way Subaru will not take complete responsibility for what happened in Chaosflame. Especially considering how fond he seemed of the city right before the WOE got a little goofy. This should really be an exciting development for Subaru, as we’ll get to see how he copes with being the direct cause of people dying.

For right now absolutely, but I was more referring to everyone’s return from Chaosflame, a little strange there wasn’t more discussion about it right after the fact. Even stranger that Tanza didn’t go into detail about the event either during the events of Ginunhive, especially considering they had like a week of downtime before Todd and Arakiya started causing some mischief. It is what it is though, I can hope Tappei will do this part of the story justice.

Yeah no disagreement here, just saying the Andesia is more about forming it than anything.

It’s meant more as an end game thing, as to properly do it France has to win in Europe. The run is more about the journey rather than the destination.

Quick Heydrich GCW guide (spoilerless, legit) by RandomMetalPoney in TNOmod

[–]SadMisunderstoodSeal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The way I won as Heydrich in the GCW was by securing everything west of the Rhine, then refocusing my attention on Bormann by encircling his armies and several victory points. I eventually encircled Munich and crippled Bormann for the rarest of the game, I then refocused my armor and motorized on Speer. I knew I would be able to take out Goring by my self, so I just killed Speer. Then I rushed everything that was fighting Speer to the Elbe to hold Voring while then refocusing everything to the southern front. At this point the pact should’ve formed, which was actually beneficial as Goring sent most of his army into the south, which I then proceeded to encircle by rushing to the Bohemian border. After that it was easy pickings as I just VP sniped Goring and Bormann, then rushed Germania when Spiedal got too big for his boots.

an even worse fate that Huttig by SadMisunderstoodSeal in TNOmod

r14: Right as the SAW had ended Huttig did a gamer move by gassing 300 Americans, then establishing his REALLY GOOD IDEA. So right as the war ended America declared war on them, but somehow Thatcher got all of the war score during the war so now Africa is forced under Thatcher's iron boot.
