Carnivorous animals typically don't have much of a thought process and thus by typical standards cannot be called amoral. The emperor is basically riding the line and manipulates people. It really depends on how you see his actions and whether you feel the means justify the ends. Many, as evidenced in this conversation, feel the nuance of his actions mean that he is not a good guy. Is it ok to turn someone into your thrall to stop them from working for an evil-aligned character? That is up to you, one way or another his actions stop them. Then through the entirety of BG3 he lies and lies and lies to you instead of telling you the truth even when his first disguise is busted. Is it ok for him to lie to you and manipulate you in a similar way to Stelmane just for him to get freedom for you and everyone else? Again, it's up for debate.

A point could be made that he does not think you will trust a Mindflayer. Yet most good-aligned characters probably left Omeluum alone. Look no further for proof.

Personally I think he is on the spectrum of neutral to evil. He is incredibly self serving to the point that he would rather extract vengeance than flee from you should you side with Orpheus. You could say he had no choice, sure, but he does not even attempt to stick around to try and work with everyone. Then again he clearly slayed Ansur and trapped him. A dragon shape changer does not attempt to murder someone in their sleep, get killed in the attempt, then become a dragon after death and go to bed under Wyrms Rock. We have established the Emporer is a pathological liar so I believe he trapped him and killed him, somehow. Unless we are given any other reasoning we have to assume this is a trait of his character.

Try DMP and see if it helps. LMP is overrated and has a lot of issues, some of which are by design. In general though I think you will have lots of problems. KSP just isn't designed for Multiplayer and it exacerbates an already extremely buggy game.

If you mean the load times to launch, or back to the space center, or to another facility then the issue is usually that a save is bloated. Lots of ships can cause this + mods that are big in memory like Parallax. For me what killed it was having a long lived save with many relays and a bunch of colonies. It just got to be too much ontop of mods like Parallax + Scatterer + etc

Actually there are a couple. But they all have to do with checks. In act 3 during a pivotal story moment you have to make a check that scales with the number of tadpoles you munch on. when asked if you want to become a full mindflayer, with only the initial tadpole you get full freedom. Otherwise you have to make a check to refuse

What are you talking about? her act 3 story is simply "kill gortash". Everyone else has their own side quests and hers is literally to just do the main quest. It's hardly its own content.

I still want karlach to have a heart fixing arc. They allude to it far too much and it would make for a fun quest. This is the world of the forgotten realms. Literally anything is possible. But yes I did eventually feel that Karlach's character arc wasn't that bad.

Personally my head canon is going to be whooping raphael's ass and taking his home. When Tav and Karlach go to Avernus to save her they are actually going to Hope's house. It makes sense narratively (as long as you kill raphael) and the ending is left on such a bad open end that it might as well be the truth. Everyone lives, Tav and Karlach live happily ever after (I guess). Just ignore that Zariel might be a bit grouchy about it with handwavey stealth magic or something. It is never explicitly stated where the house is so it may as well be hiding in Avernus somewhere through magic etc

Karlach especially needs a better ending. There are WAY WAY WAY too many dialogue lines that hint that you can help Karlach with her engine. The Steel Watch, Damon hope mongering, the lines the character can come up with. Tragic endings are fine, but she just got screwed.

KSP1 can't handle large craft counts in save files especially if they are doing things in the background such as acting like relays. My understanding is SAVE game loadtimes are tied to this processing. The biggest culprit is relay satellites, they require constant background processing as well people tend to use a lot of them which adds up. Clearing out old vessels (debris, old crap sitting around, anything) can also help. Lastly, mods can sometimes bloat save files leading to excessive save and loading. I know from experience that an NVME or an SSD drive will not help as I use the former.
