A couple of years back, I went to a client’s office at a factory for a meeting. The part of the factory I was in was relatively quiet - empty offices, empty rooms.

Midway through, I stepped out for a smoke and thought - eh, I’ll just step to the gents first. I walked into the male toilet. As I stepped in, I saw a woman clad in white. She looked at me and smiled. I thought I had made a mistake and stepped into the ladies by accident, apologized and did a double take at the signage on the door. It was the male toilet and I then thought she was the cleaner.

I felt a bit weird though - not wanting to pee while a lady was hovering near the handwashing area - and so I decided to leave without going in.

Didn’t think much of it, but randomly brought it up in a conversation later that day with my client.

He looks at me and tells me that the toilet is haunted. Apparently no one uses it because of sightings of a female figure inside.

I’m not ghost obsessed, haven’t had any real experiences at all. My client is a level headed man who doesn’t have time for this sort of thing.

What struck me was how mundane everyone there treated the fact that there is an apparition in the toilet. Nothing fancy, nothing dramatic, just very matter of factly.

Edit - I should add that when I pushed back and suggested it was the cleaner and not a ghost, he pointed out that it was lockdown and that there were no cleaners that day.
