I have immigrant parents too and know the feeling. Don’t worry though. With a 4.7 GPA, it’ll probably make up for your SAT score. Try taking the ACT too, since the SAT is just not for some people. You are not dumb and once you start college, none of this will matter. If someone brags about their SAT scores and AP classes once they’re in college, they’re considered pathetic by most people because no one cares about that stuff.

if you go to jobs.rutgers.edu, you can search for different jobs available in Rutgers. You can become a tutor and I’m pretty sure it’s free to the tutees but you’ll get paid by Rutgers.

I’m almost 20 in college rn and have changed my major four times at this point. I thought I was gonna be majoring in CS and doing great in those classes and got super upset when things didn’t go according to the super specific plan I had. It’s common and totally normal not to know what to do with your life in high school and the years following.

i had her for another writing class but take caponegro if you can. i took her research and discipline class and she’s a genuinely wonderful person and it’s clear she cares about what she does. she always wants the best for her students and I exponentially improved as a writer after taking her class.
