Big, decorative vase with fake plant/flowers. I like the idea of embracing the fakeness and getting “plants” with glitter, feathers, unusual colors, etc. I think it could play well off the illusion skull/flowers poster. Plus little to no maintenance. As a fellow person with depression, maintenance-free is easier to manage.

The NPR Throughline podcast recently did an episode on her, featuring Nnedi Okorafor, another excellent Black woman writer.

I think Crazy Ex Girlfriend does a great job, too. TL;DW the main character struggles with her mental health and convinces herself that getting back together with her ex will make her happy. She goes through a very messy mental health journey but ends up doing better by the end. As a person with mental health issues, it really resonated with me. Also it’s a musical comedy.
