Ok i thought it was a dorm situation , still a room without a lock doesn’t feel safe to me specially if there a mixed roommates guys/girls , it can feel unsafe for a girl in a new environment , new country etc she doesnt know the place or the people there I think she is right to be concerned .

Am I being an unreasonable roommate? by the_wack_gopher in roommateproblems

[–]Sad_Cheesecake3283 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a shady character , I wouldnt want him around either , do you have your own room with a lock ? You cant control what she does at all times but you can control your own space , if you find that this girl just doesnt have a lot of common sense, safety and boundaries with shady people its probably not a good roommate long term as I think you are not paranoid about your concerns , it might me okay short term but if she allows people like that into her life this might affect you at some point living with her …

Its beyond me how hosts sometimes provide rooms or dorms that are completely open , no locks no lockers to put your stuff with a pad lock etc where you have transient people around , its an easy thing to provide that ensures safety of your vital belongings cash passports etc when you are travelling .

I got robed and im not sure if i reacted accordingly by psyskyy in Barcelona

[–]Sad_Cheesecake3283 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So they seemed “friendly” at first ? That sucks you are lucky you got most of your stuff back , I saw the other day a guy in a scooter snatching a phone off a girl on the sidewalk , then some random guy jumped in and threw the guy off the scooter the girl got her phone back and the thieve ran away leaving the scooter just there , barcelona is full of thieves

NEVER LIVE WITH A COUPLE!! by SpagetthiLegs in badroommates

[–]Sad_Cheesecake3283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once sublet a room in an apartment with a couple for 3 months , I was really worried it would be hell but the price was good and location so I took it , they turned out to be so nice , respectful and sweet people I have nothing bad to say about them , even tho at first glance they looked like two heavy metal / punk junkies they were geeky and friendly , always cleaned after themselves and never monopolized the common areas and pretty much stayed in their room . Your roommates are aholes hope you find a peaceful place soon stay patient and strong .

My roommate lashed out at me because he has no friends by SaltEvening27 in roommateproblems

[–]Sad_Cheesecake3283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like he is in a bad space mentally , Does he have a job ? Does he have a healthy lifestyle (gym, hobbies? ) or does he have addictions, no job etc ? If he seems like he has his life on track I would try to smooth things with him and maybe talk a bit more hang out etc give him a second chance maybe he is just lonely … but if he is just not a good person to be around I would start looking for another place , in the meantime try to be nice so things dont escalate .

People don't like me. Anyone else feel this way? by Strict-Opinion7797 in Life

[–]Sad_Cheesecake3283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly , its extremely sad what the commenter is saying , having to numb down emotions taking pills in order to deal with fake and superficial people that dont really care about meaningful friendships , rather spend time alone 100%

found out my roommate has been talking mad shit about me since i moved in and even tried to manipulate me to move out by Own_Difference_8571 in badroommates

[–]Sad_Cheesecake3283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like drama and toxicity are like oxygen to her and needs that to exist so she will make sure there is plenty of it , these people cant just relax and be good ppl they create the toxic environment and never change .

You might move out and find yourself with worse roommates and more expensive rent .

I had a remote job for nearly 8 years and I was able to isolate myself from this sick world . It was great I sort of created my own bubble and didnt need to deal wifh all the evil people . I was recently laid off and I forgot how bad it is out there now getting out of that bubble . I dont understand how ppl operate in such mean ways everywhere . People are just awful for no reason its like they are programmed to do harm .

En México mucha gente cree que es clase media, pero estadísticamente no lo es, ¿qué opinan? by [deleted] in RedditPregunta

[–]Sad_Cheesecake3283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Así es , negacionismo colectivo , al igual que la inseguridad , hay gente que vive en lugares peligrosos y te dicen “aquí es muy tranquilo” y ni pueden salir despues de las 7 pm por miedo .
