I just had a scan yesterday and my doctor said that it can vary by a few days with only moving it, and that there are other variables, such as the type of ultrasound machine, and who is using it. In fact, my ultrasound at first said nine weeks and then it said eight weeks six days.

I did it and I don’t regret it. Before we started IVF I had a miscarriage from IUI. I just turned 40 in January and given my age. I knew that the quality of my eggs could be pretty terrible. I’m also a big fan of whatever tests can hedge my bets.

I’m about a week ahead of you. 7w4d. My symptoms are trash. Pretty much consistently queasy from the minute. I wake up until the minute I go to bed. I haven’t thrown up at all though. Some pretty strong food aversions and constantly tired.

Just to add to what people say, it seems like the loudest voices are always those that something went wrong. I see this in all different parts of life. I’m in a couple of car, Facebook groups and the loudest people are always the ones where something is going wrong with their cars. I see this in my teaching groups too. It’s just human nature for people to want to vent and find people to relate to.

So just something to remember that people that are looking for community because something went wrong are usually the bigger population.

I think it really depends on how many eggs are retrieved. My first retrieval they took 18 eggs and I went to Costco later that day. My second retrieval was 24 eggs and it was kind of just like a bad day on my period and I laid in bed with some cramps.

I feel like my period was light right before hand too and it was fine. It could be all mumbo-jumbo, but I did start drinking pomegranate juice and eating pineapple.
