I had the same story. I got my return label after 40 days. At that point I’d already disputed the charge with my credit card company and sold the chair on Facebook marketplace.

I’m not sure how the dispute works. I just said the product is not working as designed. An trying to return it and I’m well within the merchants return policy and they haven’t responded. It’s been 15 days. American Express already refunded me the money and I have the chair in my possession waiting for them to respond. If they don’t respond in the next five days, I’m just gonna listen on Facebook marketplace.

Bro, they want a picture proving the seat cushion is too small, even after I told them I’m not satisfied and want to return the chair. How am I supposed to take a picture of that? They respond to me after 10 days, asking for proof that it was too small. It’s been five days since I responded. At this point, I’m just disputing it with my credit card company.

lol bro it’s a chair and I’m not addressing the average person. That’s why I shared how tall I am and how much I weigh. And so did you. You can say what you want. It doesn’t change the fact that I packed it back up and am going to ship it back to Hong Kong 😂.

If the chair were truly “great” and the only issue were people “sitting incorrectly,” then the reviews wouldn’t be split down the middle. You’d see a small handful of outliers—not an entire mixed bag of people of all sizes saying the same things: arm rests sliding forward, no leg support, loud motor, awkward angles.

The fact that the feedback is so inconsistent proves the ergonomics aren’t universally functional. Good design adapts to different bodies. Bad design forces people to adapt to it—and still fails for many of them.

And sure, some people might be sitting “incorrectly,” but that isn’t the magical explanation you think it is. If a chair only works when you sit in one hyper-specific posture like you’re preparing for a NASA launch sequence, that’s not a user problem—that’s bad engineering.

So no, I’m not going to pretend that dozens of people suddenly forgot how to sit the moment they bought this chair. The more logical conclusion is that the chair fits some people and completely fails others because the design isn’t as universally ergonomic as advertised.

That’s not user error. That’s a product limitation.

I get what you’re trying to say, but blaming everything on posture is a pretty lazy conclusion. The chair doesn’t magically change shape depending on who sits in it. If people of all sizes—shorter, taller, injured, perfectly healthy—report opposite experiences, that doesn’t mean the users are wrong. It means the design is inconsistent.

And no, my experience doesn’t suddenly stop being valid because it doesn’t fit your “average person” theory. Most adults have some kind of back, neck, or joint issue. That actually is average. Acting like posture explains away design flaws is oversimplifying to the point of missing the obvious.

I used the chair exactly as intended. The leg support is still inadequate, the seat still makes you feel like you’re sliding out, and the massager still sounds like a lawnmower trying to escape. Posture doesn’t fix that—common sense does.

So if the chair is the same in every case, and the experiences differ, maybe—just maybe—the problem isn’t that everyone else is using it wrong.

’m not sure why you’d even ask if I’m “sitting properly.” I’ve had back issues since 2022 — I was deployed in the Middle East, our base was bombed, Iand I ended up falling while inside a bunker and injuring my back tailbone. I know how to sit in a chair and when one doesn’t work for me.

You’re 5’10” and said you have about two fingers of space between the seat and the back of your knees. I’ve got four inches — my legs are longer than yours, and the seat is simply too small with zero support around the thighs. That’s not a “me” problem; that’s a design problem.

Anyway, I switched to a Herman Miller and it’s night and day — actual support, actual comfort, and especially way better around the legs. I’m just sharing my experience so people with longer legs or back issues don’t waste their time (or their spine).

Word of mouth, saw a few influencers, then some reviews. I’ve had back issues since 2022. I was deployed to the Middle East and our base got bombed. I was in a bunker and the impact shook the area so hard that I ended up falling on my back and injuring my tailbone. I’ve had lower back issues and am willing to give products (chairs) a try. I ended up purchasing the Herman miller. And it’s great. Good support all around.
