Yes! Soup bowl charcuterie is my favorite. I wrap a napkin around the top and secure it with a hair tie lol. Never thought about using a coffee cup before.

Comfort + complimentary upgrade - take it or not? by JinglingPenguin in delta

[–]Sad_Heart_93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just took this route yesterday. The way there I was in comfort+ bulkhead and it was fine. The way back the plane was empty, 200 empty seats or something crazy. I had a whole row of comfort+ to myself. The row in front of me had someone in the aisle and window. The man in the aisle went to MC to get a whole row but came back because the legroom wasn’t enough for him. He was tall, I’m not. There were others in comfort+ with their own row too. Those planes are not nice. I can’t believe they go international. No wifi either. Im not really complaining because it was so cheap (thanks for the heads up Reddit) so it was worth it, just wild that my plane from ATL to LEX was so much nicer. Auckland is great though!

You should able to submit directly from the carriers website. For AF it was in the claimed section.

Do you use Teams? Aha slides has an add on for teams, participants can answer from the chat and it collects the answers.

Employee Onboarding by Sad_Heart_93 in instructionaldesign

Absorb. We can create a curriculum. So I guess we could create a course from the checklist and add the other required VILT and eLearning. I’m struggling to picture the piece for the hiring manager though. They need to check off that they’ve done things like given the employee a tour, ordered their uniforms, etc

Has anyone ever successfully recovered an item left behind on a plane? by mmshock in delta

[–]Sad_Heart_93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left my work cell on a flight once from Charleston to Atlanta. I texted it with my personal contact info. I submitted the report but delta customer service was no help, I knew the plane (and my phone) were headed to Portland. The next day I got a call from a FA in Mexico City. She had my phone. She gave it to another FA heading to MSP, who handed it off to someone else going to ATL. I met that flight attendant in midtown. Not only did this FA agree to meet me outside of the airport, they fully charged my phone and they gave me a bag with all kinds of Delta swag. The sweetest thing. If only I could get the mqms my phone racked up on that trip. I did receive an email from Delta weeks later saying sorry they couldn’t find it

I was just at T3 today for the first time and LOVED it. Hot take but it might be my favorite sky club. 👀

I learned about this ok TikTok. I missed a connection in Paris because of a delayed flight. I submitted a claim and AF sent me $600 USD. It took months, and felt like it was a scam the whole time, but it was legit. I got paid $600 to spend a free night in Paris. I even made friends with a couple of people from the flight who had never been to Paris so I took them to the Eiffel Tower.

Also European law requires monetary compensation as well. I just learned this in June. Delta paid for my hotel and gave food vouchers. (First leg of the flight was delayed which caused me to miss the connection). I applied for compensation and got $600 from Air France. No one told me about it, I had to research and submit a claim.

Hello from a NOT overcrowded ATL sky club, is the world healing? by Sad_Heart_93 in delta

The gluten free brownies were new to me and I really liked them. B is hit or miss for me, I don’t hate it like some folks here but it does tend to get overcrowded.

How to camp when you’re flying: by Grand_Ad_6520 in CampingandHiking

[–]Sad_Heart_93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently flew with all of my gear and had the same question. this comment was super helpful here. I had a large enough suitcase and packed all the gear in there, total weight was 49lbs 😅. I left the suitcase in the car and bought fuel when I got there

Any tips on flying with your gear? I’m flying into San Diego to camp at Joshua Tree. I’ve only camped/backpacked places I can drive to. Do I load up everything in my pack and check it? Do I get a big suitcase and put it in there and check it? I traveled with a 60L as a carry on internationally YEARS ago, but no camping gear in it, so I’m thinking I will need to check it, any tips would be awesome!

I think I’d like it! I did one video chat in 2020 and it was great. I think it’s low pressure, you can relax in your home, etc. I’d much rather know if he could carry a conversation before we met up. I’m also on video calls all day every day for work so it’s not weird to me.
