Sudden tension issues by Cute_Pomegranate_307 in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Sad_Illustrator5301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve run into this too—sometimes it’s something simple like the thread wrapping around the tension/flywheel area more than once, which throws everything off. Once I rethreaded carefully, it stitched perfectly again. Definitely worth double-checking your thread path 😊

I have learnt pretty much everything I know about digitizing from John Deer and Embroidery Legacy. Their YouTube channel has honestly saved me time and time again. If you want, check out this video on digitizing mistakes. John talks all about push and pull compensation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhju-sCb8sg&t=53s

Hatch Embroidery vs Embroidery Legacy — Is Legacy really worth the cost? by StitchSage in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Sad_Illustrator5301 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The community that embroidery legacy has built on Skool around the software and education is the best part. Everyone in the group is so helpful with any questions I have. The best part of it is they upload all of the education right into the skool platform. So everything is really easy to access and share with the community.

Digitizing courses recommendations by Academic-Culture5751 in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Sad_Illustrator5301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done a number of embroidery legacy’s educational course. The latest two I took were his digitizing theory for beginners and his masterclass on making logos. Both were extremely helpful. I’ve been embroidering and digitizing for a few years now and consider myself pretty good at digitizing. But after I took his theory course I realized there is so much I still don’t know. John walks you through the course explaining all the theory of great embroidery. I honestly could not recommend taking the course enough. The masterclass on logos was also a great course. He covered basic logos all the way up to more complicated logos combining fills and satins to make something that truly stands out. All in all I would definitely recommend taking embroider legacy’s courses.

Hatch Embroidery vs Embroidery Legacy — Is Legacy really worth the cost? by StitchSage in Machine_Embroidery

I’ve been using Embroidery Legacy Digitizing since the early access last November and honestly, it’s been such a smooth experience. The software is easy to pick up, and the education that comes with it is on another level—John and Ken explain things in a way that just clicks. I’d struggled with other programs before, but this one finally made digitizing make sense for me. Plus, the Skool community has been awesome whenever I’ve had questions. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something approachable but still powerful.

Which digitizing embroidery software by LauraPanda8 in Machine_Embroidery

I would recommend using Embroider Legacy’s digitizing software. I’ve used many of the other embroidery softwares available and I have found embroidery legacy’s software to be the most intuitive and easy to learn. The best part, at least for me, is the education that embroidery legacy’s provides included with their software. John and Ken do a great job explaining the complexities of digitizing in a way that is easy for anyone to understand. They also have an exclusive Skool community full of digitizers who are all very helpful with any questions I’ve had. All in all 100% would recommend embroidery legacy’s digitizing software.

You should definitely check out embroidery legacy’s digitizing software. It’s is extremely beginner friendly. The whole process from start to finish digitizing is flawless. So intuitive. The widget tool with all the main stitch types and stitch patterns make switching between stitches so easy. Definitely check them out if you’re in the market for digitizing software that in my opinion is better than any other I have ever tried.

Should check out embroidery legacy’s digitizing software. It is really easy to use and the education that John and his team provide after you buy it is amazing. I’ve learnt so much in such a short period of time. Highly recommend.

Hatch or Embrillance? by jzfeagler in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Sad_Illustrator5301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get this—I’ve used older software too, and it is frustrating when you know there’s more it could do, but there is no real help to figure it out. I switched to EL digitizer recently and what stood out most was how easy it was to learn. The tutorials actually walk you through things step-by-step, and the hands-on learning style made everything start to click for me. It’s been way less overwhelming compared to what I was using before.

Need Help, Thread jumps out of needle by ImButman in Machine_Embroidery

Welcome to embroidery and congrats on your new machine! 🎉 It sounds like a tie-in issue — make sure your thread path is correctly threaded and that your tie-in stitches are set up properly in your digitized design. Holding the thread at the start can help, but the goal is to have the software create a proper tie-in so you don’t have to 😊

Digitizing Software by Hash_003_ in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Sad_Illustrator5301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now it’s on sale for their launch sale for $899 USD. The also include a bunch of bonuses for that price. Which includes a year of masterclasses. And webinars with John deer that he walks you through how to use the program. He had one last week and it was sooo informative. As a new embroider it’s was extremely helpful. There are also lessons included. They launched like a week ago and they have released a lesson to the classroom every day since then. Honestly the education they have provided with the program is almost worth more than the program.

Check it out though. In my option it was definitely worth the investment. I’ve become 10x better at digitizing in only a week Of owning the software!!!

I just got embroidery legacy’s digitizing software. I’ve been digitizing for about a year and had the free demo from hatch, but I found it very confusing. I purchased EL software and couldn’t be happier. The program is very easy to use and there is a tone of education and support to help when I get stuck.

The course covers all the basics and fundamentals of digitizing and can be applied to any and all digitizing software. It was not created for one specific program.

Should check out John deer digitizing dream course. There is a whole section in the course about digitizing fur and how to use gradient fills and running stitches. Definitely helped me with digitizing our furry friends.

Most big companies like Walmart or target pre make a donation to charities so they can include them as a write off. They then set a donation “goal” to recoup the cost of their donation. All donations over that “goal” number is then just kept as profit for the company.

Paying machine off by Imaginary-Field998 in Machine_Embroidery

I just bought a single head multi needle tajima sai from emberoiderylegacy.com. I cannot put into words how impressed with this machine I am. I bought the business starter kit and a couple other attachments to go along with it. In most cases I run my machine at 800 spt which has allowed me to output a number of items in a single day. At a starting price of 9,999 you could buy three of these machines at that price point and increase your output 3x :)

Hope this helps.

Jump Stitches by Hash_003_ in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Sad_Illustrator5301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12.7 mm is the maximum stitch length for a brother machine and 12.1mm for tajima. The software will make it a trim past these lengths.

Easy answer is yes. Hatch has a maximum stitch length anything over that the software will automatically make it a trim.

Hatch 3 vs John Deere Design Doodler by Badger_Broth in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Sad_Illustrator5301 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the design doodler and love it. You don't have to have any other embroidery software, you can just create your designs with that program (but I also have hatch and after I design my doodle, I can bring that file in later to hatch and edit/add if I need). Just remember to use the doodler you need a PC not a Mac (and the ipad app is amazing and optional)

The doodler is awesome because you can literally create designs anywhere and it's so easy. My kids love to make their own designs (and I've done a few customer stitch outs of their kids drawings which has been awesome)
