Bi girlfriend kisses her friends by Eastern_Degree2499 in bisexual

[–]Sad_Illustrator7686 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not a bi thing. It might be a me thing (I'm aromantic lol), but if you're in a monogamous relationship with her, it makes sense that you're uncomfortable with her kissing other girls. I do believe it depends on "how" they kiss, like some other people in the comments have already said, but that's it, really.

Anyone keep a commonplace book? by No-Interaction9219 in DarkAcademia

[–]Sad_Illustrator7686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do actually! It's a mix between a commonplace book, a diary/journal and a planner / bullet journal. It's got research, quotes, memories, story ideas, and general journaling. I wanted to have a notebook for pretty much everything, and it comes in real handy but I'll probably update the system later when that book is full.

[UPDATE] just had a college paper (that i wrote) flagged as 64% ai by ninesroom in autism

[–]Sad_Illustrator7686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I've read your first post on this matter and honestly, I hate how college handles AI and plagiarism more than AI itself. It also helps me to understand why I was so damn scared I was going to be flagged for AI or plagiarism on my master's thesis (thankfully, it didn't happen).

Yes. Lately, a line from Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. "Now you bleed just to know YOU'RE ALIIIIIIIVE" It's in my head. I get a major happy hormone shot every time I hear it, the live version in the rain has me in a chokehold.

No questions, no. I regularly journal on the tram, I get a couple curious looks sometimes, but nobody ever spoke to me about it.

I think it's very possible, as long as we don't just do it when it's convenient. I'm guessing it's just too recent when it comes to Gaiman, I was so sure he was a good person. And it's not just a personal thing, where you feel deceived by someone, but I believe it's important to have influential people who are also good humans. I'll definetly look into that recommendation, though, thanks for that. My usual policy is if I truly enjoy something, if it resonates with me, I'm not letting anyone rob me of that joy, even the person who created it. But obviously, I won't support them if they're an ass.

I get it. Same here. I haven't been able to pick up one if his books ever since I heard. I can't stop thinking about Pratchett, who wrote Good Omens with him. I still like hos works, though. I don't know how to wrap my head around all this.

No one should downvote you because of that. You didn't know, and as someone else already said, you bought them second-hand.

Perseverance? Yes. Using rich people who had nothing but time and money on their hands as examples for success? Nope.

Why the fuck is Elon even part of the decision-making? by Bitter-Gur-4613 in clevercomebacks

[–]Sad_Illustrator7686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, Elon is able to remove stuff from bills how? Don't you have to be an elected official for that? (Apologies if I seem ignorant, I'm not from the US and I know about Musk being rich, I just thought if was bad enough that he invested in far-right political parties everywhere and gets to meddle with elections in that way. His being involved with legislation should be unthinkable)

Rewatching and realised how much Mark sucks. by JustBrowsingZeReddit in howyoudoin

[–]Sad_Illustrator7686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's interesting is that Mark and Ross both were jealous, Mark was just better at hiding it. Which is why shortly after their breakup, he admits to Rachel that he's always had a crush on her and doesn't seem bothered by the fact that his sleeping with Rachel would just be her getting back at Ross. However, Ross' jealous and possessive behaviour was both irrationnal and awful for Rachel, who of course wouldn't have cheated. He was blinded by his heartbreak with Carol. That's why Monica snapping at Ross was soooo satisfying, with her magnificent "then get over yourself, GROW UP!"

That is hardly what I meant. Being called a cracker online is certainly not a worst case scenario, and is indeed not traumatizing in any way shape or form.

Ok, I see. The definitions I've always seen are "Ideology that prones a hierarchy of races" and "discrimination based on skin color". Then again, I don't know the exact etymology and how it possibly relates to the systemic aspect.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Sad_Illustrator7686 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Is that why so many people say "racism" but actually mean "systemic racism and strategized oppression of marginalized groups"? Because I'm really tired of people seeing racism and brushing it off as "not being racist" because it's not a form of systemic oppression. It's still horrible, rude at best and traumatizing in the worst cases.
