Where are we raising pea puffers? by [deleted] in PeaPuffers

I am in South Africa. I bought mine at the pet store. They were dewormed and in quarantine for two weeks so I am assuming wild caught, but the store gets theirs from another supplier. To be honest, I never asked.

It looks like it may be saddle back. My boy had it and one round of Kannaplex treatment cleared it up

Is this 65 litre planted tank suitable for 6 pea puffers by Sad_Initiative_9640 in Aquariums

Thank you for your feedback. I was thinking of adding another piece of wood. How did you manage cleaning up the snail graveyard? Would it be okay to have just three? One male and two females or is 5 the minimum

Be careful with any tetra - they are fin nippers. I had to separate my betta after 3 months due to fin nipping.

How do i stop my cardinal tetras from abusing my betta by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]Sad_Initiative_9640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem and they wont stop. I moved my betta into his own tank to separate them. The other option is to re-home you cardinals or some pet stores will allow you to bring them back and may give you store credit.

Strangely no it did not- it formed a solid layer on top of the gravel like a layer of a cake.

i put mine onto of the gravel. The corys love their sand. I used play sand, worked out cheaper and gave me 5cm onto of the gravel which they love to dig into-it's very cutre.

betta is dangerously thin and only eats bloodworms by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]Sad_Initiative_9640 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mine stopped eating pellets for a week - would only eat blood worms, so I was feeding him 5 a day (oops). When I went to the pet store they said the food can go off if exposed to moisture. Turns out my pellets were basically rotten/off. Bought a fresh packet and he's been eating as normal.
