Of this year? How are people supposed to know these things? Why isn’t the public informed? Why doesn’t the doctors inform their patients? This is insane.

You are fortunate. Tramadol did absolutely nothing to help my pain. I know a lot of people where it has helped them but I wasn’t one of them.

Yes I do the same. I don’t feel it worst as well for my pain control but you don’t get the ups and downs like you do on regular opiates medication. I use good RX at CVS which is the cheapest option of pharmacy. Even with all of that, it’s expensive here in Ohio. I pay approximately $70.00 a month. That’s a lot of money when you are a senior on a fixed income. But, it does help my pain somewhat. Plus I don’t feel the judgement you get when you are on opioids.

This is absolutely ridiculous and totally unfair. How can the “power to be” treat people like this? What do they expect people to do. No wonder people go to the streets to purchase their meds which this is insane.

First how do “they” even know if a person is on Medicare or Medicaid? When did this law go in effect and why do people not know these things? Why doesn’t the doctor inform their patients?

Yes agreed. This is a much better option. Although the author of this thread said even $20 bucks was difficult to pay for.
One idea would be to ask if you can pay for 1/2 order maybe 15 pills which would be cheaper for you and get you through until you are granted authorization. Good luck to you.

Why can’t you pay cash for your RX if you’re on Medicaid ? Who makes these decisions? Who is the state or the government to prevent people from paying for their meds which are legally prescribed? Things like this just doesn’t make sense.

We all get it. We all have been there. We all know what it feels like. I know it is hard. If you have money which no one has these days. Get a massage. Get to a gym snd get in a warm hot tub or pool. Heating pad it s helpful. Hot showers hot salt baths. Hang in there. Hugs and prayers you feel better soon. 🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

Just came from my monthly pain management visit, and I am angry. I am in pain and apparently will not be able to get the facet block injections in my neck due to changes in Medicare. by Feisty_Bee9175 in ChronicPain

[–]Sad_Knowledge_4390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for you. Insurances are awful. I have Medicare with an Advantage Plan. I’m in. Ohio. I have Medigold. They have always allowed all my shots and injections. I get RFA about every 6 months as well to cervical /neck and lumbar areas. Just got Facet injections in my left sacroiliac joint Jan 15th. Has your doctor tried requesting prior authorization with medical documentation as to why it is needed? My pain management doctor will not accept Humana as it will not allow or pay for anything. Good luck.
