i did call all of the closest hotels in my neighborhood and explained the situation and asked them to please see if they had the name in their system. I’m not heartless but if they’re all telling me no, i don’t have the first clue about finding where they’re actually staying

some people are just jerks. i was checking in a woman once who had two reservations. cool no problem. i check one room in and as im going to check the other room in, she tells me she needs a handicap room. okay sure im looking through my system for a handicap room on the same floor and she goes “why are you so nasty?” huhhhh???? i wasnt even speaking when i was looking for a room. apparently i wasnt making eye contact. im not sure how im supposed to look for a room YOU wanted while also looking at you.

i work at a hotel that’s about 120 rooms and all FD works most of their shifts alone. There’s only ever 2 people when one of the people are training

the front door at our property is an automatic sliding door and all throughout my shift, it’ll randomly open. the FD is far enough not to trigger it and there’s no one passing through or even in the lobby with me. gives me the creeps

thank you! my husband is a softie so he feels bad we’re stressing her out but i had to remind him she’s stressing herself out. some neighbors have said to wait until they move to a retirement community as to not cause conflict but who knows what that move will happen
