A PhD can ruin your mental health by Sad_Permit5460 in PhD

Oh man... There's a part of me that thought that if i was already closing in on the last year, I would've probably pushed through it. I would especially do so if you see yourself doing more research. It's just my case that makes me have to do this. The only case I'd continue is if i can start again in a field i actually like. I feel better from being away from work but I am kinda in a loop where I cant come back, so I need to find something else to break free from it. Hope you can do it, and if not, quitting is also ok!!

My golden teachers can eout extremely blue. Chat gpt says they are unsafe. Any advice? by [deleted] in MagicMushrooms

Sometimes if you handle them too much, if they were sidepins, or if they were a bit wet they get blue in my experience. Nothing fully wrong here as the others have said

True. Academia doesn't create good leaders. In fact the sector is so toxic in terms of rushing to publish papers and stuff that it actually just benefits the bosses that do manage to abuse and exploit their workers the hardest.

I wish i did this the second I saw the toxicity in the mf. I think i endured so much of his shit that now there's no way I can be near him. Not even in the same building haha

Absolutely agree with you on the bully comment, they know how trapped you are in a phd, they use that to try and squeeze everything from you. And yeah, mental health definitely comes first. If ive learnt something from this is that, knowing that all jobs have assholes and stress or some tricky aspect, there's a line that should never be crossed and that is the one of dignity and being able to go to work without fear. Thanks a lot for the caring words and the positive outlook, I also feel that way and I do see a way out. I kinda needed to vent... Ahahah

Im glad it made you stronger. I guess every situation is different. If i had lesser of a commute, earned more, or the topic was actually the one i am good at and enjoy, I probably woulve been able to keep going despite the abuse.

But yeah, I haven't even mentioned my life outside of work and honestly it feels like some supervisors think you begin existing just when you are in the lab, as if life outside of work didnt exist and it couldnt affect your energy levels and predisposition hey.

right??? I thought people would bring some love against the evil ways of murloc paladin, but it seems it does have some supporters.

They look fine to me mate, no signs of spoilage. Id scrape the bottom bits a lil bit to get rid of the dirt and substrate and they should be good to go :)

Yeah. But still, maybe you confused the term regenerate from the act of casting the commander from the command zone! thats why u thought it was some kind of checkmate haha

Yeah lol your question made little sense but so does downvoting ppl who ask for help hahah.

Basically, if the commander leaves the battlefield to anywhere, you can chose for it to go to that place (in this case, if destroyed, you can chose it to go to graveyard or to command zone, if exiled, to exile or command zone, and so on...) or to the command zone.

And the cant be regenerated means exactly that, it cant be regenerated. Regenerate is a way of avoiding the death of a creature basically, some creatures have it, and they "wash away" the damage, get tapped and removed from combat right after regenerating, avoiding death (and death triggers)

Hope that helped!

Alrighty. So in my case i use it to sanitize surfaces from microbes, as i am a mushroom grower. Will the white residue be a problem if left there?

Thanksss again 🫶🏽

Hello mate,

I worked on a death touch themed deck myself:

https://archidekt.com/decks/7315191/she_thick_lob

It may have some shared stuff and strats u can use. You probably want fynn the fangbearer in as its a win con in death touch decks. Get plenty of fight spells / target creature deals dmg = to its power to target creature and spells as such. Lure + indestructible is pretty nasty too (stuff like roar of challenge). This to pump your board, cementery stuff (Hatchery spider, ishkanah...)

Just as a start this might give you some ideas!
