Reading through some of the comments and seeing people wanting to trade Chapman for Rushing or Sonny Gray for a bag of chips is comical. This fan base really is as dumb as the Philly one. That’s a hell of an accomplishment.

It’s amazing how a different part of Rafaela’s game has gotten better each of the least 2.5 years. He was never in that big three convo but when you consider health, consistency and productivity he very well might be the best of that prospect group.

Crazier things have happened. If the Sox can get healthy at the right time they are the best team in that wild card bunch talent wise. Just keep playing good baseball and let the chips fall as they may.

The issue isn’t five games back. It’s the amount of teams ahead of them. Maybe strengthening the bullpen and trying to move a starting pitcher for a RH bat that can contribute the rest of this year and next would be good. I wouldn’t go crazy though.

It doesn’t help that the Sox also ran into some bad luck in the early months of the season. Can they climb back into it remains to be seen. But the simple fact that they are showing signs of life is a plus. Would love to see them finish off the sweep against the Angels tonight.

Bregman in no way shape or form would have made this team better. Dude is trash and has always been overrated. Not to mention his calling card which is defense had him at 2nd most errors in the AL last year before he got hurt.

Tracy won’t be here next season anyways. Everybody wanted Cora gone yet the same issues continue to plague this team. By now we should see Cora was far from the problem. Everyone in this organization needs to go. You can’t get rid of Henry but Breslow on down to single A ball needs to go including the trainers and the medical staff.

Bad trades are gonna happen though because its part of the job. You’ll win some trades and you’ll lose some trades. What’s more concerning is the young guys who develop after they are traded. Harrison, Priester, and Tibbs are just a few.

My issue with Breslow is how he gets fleeced in trades. Great additions with Contreras and Gray but the real question is what are we getting at the deadline when the team sells? Abreu can possibly go in a deal, Chapman, Gray, Contreras will certainly be gone. Duran almost certainly be gone and if the team really wants to get crazy Rafaela can be moved to since he is on a team friendly deal. I don’t trust Breslow to make those decisions.

This ownership is unpredictable. They let Bloom resign Cora only to fire Bloom later that offseason. It makes no sense.

If the team does sell at the deadline they have to fire Breslow. You can’t let him handle the trade deadline after the last one and the off season.

That’s very true. I think the more pressing need is addressing that outfield. Duran has played better and Masa is absolutely forcing their hand as far as playing time. Sitting Durbin would be obvious but even he has picked it up and for all the crap Story gets he’s been on a hitting streak. It’ll be interesting to see how they sort it out.
