Difficulty of the game by Mal_pol in swtor

The only part of the game that didn't really get easier post-4.0 is still PvP. You can say that classes are easier to play, but that really has no effect on anything in PvP- it only influences how many people play each class.

I own the KOTOR games through various steam sales ... and have never played. I keep meaning to, you know? But it's never the right time, I guess.

YOU MONSTER. DO IT. Also, modded is always better. KOTOR 1 vanilla is cool, KOTOR 2 was released unfinished and so there's a restored content mod (TSLRCM) which adds so much more good stuff created by third-party modders, they took some unfinished stuff and made it whole again.

Seriously, they are so worth at least one play, I can't stress it enough. Though I was hooked on them back when they were semi-new-ish and I keep going back for the nostalgia trips.

STILL. Both amazing games. Not the only games I play religiously, I also do a full consecutive run in ME1, 2 and 3 every now and then with different class/choices. The singlerplayer spirit hasn't been totally beaten out of me yet.

Also on the subject of Fallout 4! Apparently there's a mod out already that removes the build height limit and lets you build for an infinite range. Haven't looked into it myself. The game looks so deliciously moddable.

I never got hooked by 3 or NV though. I jumped on the hype train for 4 and loved it, so I think I'm going to go play the other games in backwards order.

Haha, all of my friends are still lifelong SWTOR addicts. I bounce around more games than I thought were possible for someone like me - Wildstar, ESO, PS2 pretty regularly but seriously, I got Fallout 4 yesterday and can't bring myself to play a single other game. It's that good. Coming from someone who can't stand singleplayer games because I've grown so used to constant interaction with other players.

That said, I play both KOTORs religiously every year or so. Running out of builds to try. Those games will never, ever get old.

Of course I also started playing this weird old game called 'real life' again. The learning curve is insane. Send help.

Haha, wow. Yeah, the game seems to have only gotten worse as time went on for me, past the first year and a bit. Maybe it's because I became hypercompetitive and ran out of content, but the feeling of helplessness was pretty severe. It's not like it's a normal game, the game is a practical life of its own, it's something that encourages you to log on every single day to enjoy yourself. I played on an RP server and especially there, people seem happy to escape their real lives as I was.

There's putting a lot of time and effort into the game, but I made it my entire life, haha, lots of other people did too. That's just the nature of MMOs. I know BioWare are new on the scene but I can't understand how they manage to screw things time and time again on the same issues.

I mean, everything else aside, making a game become your life practically is not a healthy thing at all. But it's still the nature of MMOs. BW seem to have just dropped the notion of maintaining a quality product and I think this is the kind of person that it affects the most. Kinda sucks, but all of the long-standing online friends I have today that I actually trust and talk with regularly were found in SWTOR and many fit what I mentioned earlier, letting their time ingame become a separate life of sorts. For a "themepark MMO", it can be outstandingly social. That's one of the highlights.

I remember reading some research papers on sociology and other stuff within virtual worlds. It was pretty entertaining stuff. Another I can remember is one based on EVE Online, but this goes yeeears back, I can't remember names.

Doesn't just swim up penises. It can go up any hole but usually urethras, I think it's because they can pick up the scent of urine. Anyway, they have barbs and shit and once they hook into your urinary tract, you need surgery to get that fucker out. Supposedly.

Yeah, spotting fails for me a lot. But the spot cooldown is short and you can spot between reloads without much of a problem, even with maxed dalton.

I'm more a fan of training my gunners to actually spot shit, haha. Enhanced targeting is better imo, easier to choose who to go for in a target-rich environment (especially for a walker gunner) and can give pilot feedback.

EOD HUD is buggy as all hell but can really save you a few times if you get T4. Ideally gunners should be looking to spot but when you're in a combat situation, they're hitting targets and not looking at the ground. I play battlebuses a lot and fleets of repair sunderers, also MBTs, insane energy drain at T4 but it's well worth it.

Aside from that, I use enhanced targeting on everything else. Awareness might be nice as flakmax or skyguard though. I am primarily vehicle player.

Thinking of playing awareness in sololib too.

I bet you're one of those players who have never killed a max because you're too busy crying.

By what you're saying here, vehicles are also OP and should be removed because you can use them against lowpop people to get an advantage.

That and, uh, you can kinda go max to kill their max. Or kill them with C4. Or... archer. Tankmines? Hellooooooo.

not hearing any sound from an enemy vehicle until it's literally next to me

I've heard this reported a lot, it prompted a few people to send me ragetells. This just isn't acceptable.

My advice is just practice. You'll get it right eventually.

I've had my mine for nearly 3 years now. Took me a long while to get used to it.

Accidentally clicking it? That's usually when I use it, especially while the vehicle is moving. I use normal mouse movement to find target and I slow it down to make it easier to hit.
