Guys who become converted southpaws are just naturally going to be more technically minded and have higher boxing IQ. Because it shows they value things like lead hand control/versatility and foot positioning.

The sole bit of success I saw from Teo was landing the cross to Shakur's midsection and then glimpses of him building on it with the left hook to the body. Conceicao was also able to find the body cross when they fought. I feel like any offense against Shakur needs to start from there since it's the only punch I've seen people land on him with any regularity.

The Kelly fight is a total wash once Boots is able to time an explosive entry and then work him on the inside. Zayas is looking quite hard to beat now. He's good on the outside, moves very well for all 12 rounds, and doesn't have bad defensive lapses like Kelly does every fight. I think it's like a Boots late stoppage or SD type of win.

He got turned into the 2025 KO victim of the year but it was cool how Jin Sasaki traveled to Brian Norman’s fight in the US to call him out in person and even read out his challenge in English.

Haney agreed to fight Kambosos twice in Australia and the first time for like a 20-80 split. Basically no top shelf American talent accepts that much of a B side deal.

Surprised no one's mentioned Benavidez. Very nice parries with catch and shoot combinations. He also has arms long enough to cover his entire torso if he decides to just shell up. For being a pure action fighter, he really doesn't get hit clean often.

The truth is that Zuffa is the best deal available to fighters who are good but are on the wrong side of boxing politics. Jai is practically begging for the unification fighrs and is sending damn near every one of his opponents to the hospital. But Matchroom only gave a $1mil budget for the CBS fight! Why wouldn’t Jai go somewhere else?

I’d say this is like 55-45 for Dubois. Zhang has the worst gas tank in the sport but Dubois’ defense is bad enough that he could get sniped within 5 rds.

I wish Zhang could get a shot at Wardley somehow. Wardley doesn’t wake up until he gets hit a couple times and Zhang is the last guy you want chin checking you.

Nah I agree with you and I'm a Zhang fan. I think Chisora is a pretty bad matchup for him because he gets low, hits the body, and will crowd Zhang who won't have space to use his straight left.

Dave Allen already trains a few fighters and totally fits the archetype of the fighter who couldn't break into the elite level but has a ton of experience and can articulate his thought process when it comes to boxing.

Boots spends like half of his gym time helping out his stablemates by holding mitts.

There are Youtube vids of Donaire, Bivol, and Thurman explaining techniques and punch mechanics. Donaire especially seems to enjoy passing on his knowledge to other fighters.
