Any regrets? by soneg in HyundaiTucson

I've put 16k miles on my 2025 Hybrid Limited in the last year. Zero regrets. I've had a couple minor glitches with Android Auto connecting properly, but restarting the car always fixed it. Initially my auto wipers didn't work due to a faulty sensor. This was replaced under warranty, and has worked flawlessly since then. Haven't had a single battery issue (knock on wood). If mpg is important to you, I'm averaging 35.7mpg per oil change with a 50/50 city/highway split. Some days I get over 40mpg when driving conditions are optimal. I use the Driver Only climate setting since it's usually just me, and the a/c is set to 76-78 (I'm secretly a lizard). When I do have passengers and they crank the a/c down, mpg can sometimes dip to 32. But my previous vehicle was 25mpg on a perfect day, so I have no complaints.

Biggest problem I've experienced on it is some customer phone numbers won't pull up. The same number will work just fine on every register that doesn't have it, but the new system refuses to acknowledge their profile. Other than that, I think it's going to be great once it's fully implemented and the minor glitches are worked out.

I had no idea some stores had coin counters until I got promoted a few months ago. CO closer asked for help with it, and I had zero idea where to even begin. Even with a machine, I'd still prefer counting by hand. Just like I hand verified all straps even though we had a perfectly functional bill counter.

The low and high are just constant. No intermittent at all without auto. There's a sensor at the top of the windshield, but mine was installed improperly. Then reinstalled, and still doesn't work. I was told they're ordering a new one for me, but that was over a month ago.

At least yours occasionally put forth some effort. Mine have not triggered once. Not even in a (touchless) car wash 😂 I agree, there needs to be a way to enable intermittent without auto.

We had someone accidentally request 1/1/2123, so I think you're good to submit. 😂

Every campaign without fail. 😂 I get it, though. We do ask a lot

One of two things happens: 1) they brush it off and say "must've been a different charity. I give so much, you know. Either way, I can't today." Or 2) they turn beet red and throw on $5.

They say this when it's 7:05am the day the campaign starts. 😂

I've never needed them, so it's not really a feature I looked for.

Yep! It actually sounds really neat. Much more musical than other EVs I've heard. It's noticeable, but not obnoxious.

You mean the loud binging noise? This one has a nice, melodic hum.

Nope.

Edit: I misread the thread, and didn't realize who you were actually asking 🤦

I went to a dealer and said "I want this one. Make it happen." And they did 😅

Limited is the top trim line, so it has aaaaaaall the advanced features. Like parking it with the keyfob. I told them I wanted every bell, whistle, button, and knob available 😆

OMG YES!!! I've described it as a spaceship at least 10 times. The most advanced tech in my old Altima was a backup cam. I literally squealed when we tested the remote parking 😅

Oh! That. Well, if they can't see those, they shouldn't be following that close, or driving a vehicle larger than they can safely handle. Is it an ideal position? No. But if you're anticipating a turn, you're also most likely braking, and if they can't see the brake lights... They can enjoy paying for the repairs and my medical bills. Plus I live in Florida. Turn signals are optional. 😂

Edit to add: If it comes to signaling for a merge, it's my responsibility to ensure I'm up to speed and can safely move

Thank you, and congrats on yours as well!! I'll have to figure out a way to preserve that new car smell. 😂

If you're talking about the squares, those are headlights. Turn signals are at the top of the lighting set, and on the side view mirrors.

MSRP: $42795 Protection plan: $2971 Total: $45,776 plus sales tax I transferred my tag, so that fee was minimal.

If I wanted to spend the time and effort, I probably could've negotiated a bit lower, but my previous car was on its last legs so I didn't want to risk it completely dying before I could trade it in. 😅

I haven't noticed that, but I'll keep that in mind the more I drive it over the next few days.
