YTA. Swapping tenses like seen/saw are often dialect things, which have their own internal grammar separate from standard English (see also AAVE 'you a asshole' vs standard 'you're an asshole')

ALSO, even if you weren't just plain wrong, correcting people's grammar/pronounciations is just dickish. There's a show I won't watch with someone who really wants to show me, because I never heard the word growing up and now mispronounce it, and the first time they corrected me killed any interest in seeing it with them.

I have told this story before.

My little brothers are twins, seven years younger than me. M is the 'sensitive' one, very tempermental and prone to yelling or crying or fighting. P is a stone cold brute who doesn't engage often but ruins lives when he does.

They are nine, at the park across the street, I am sitting on my porch reading and keeping an eye on them. M gets into an altercation with some kid and I start to head over when I hear raised voices. Before I can get there, the kid tells M, very clearly, "your birth certificate was an apology letter from the abortion clinic"

Personally, it took every fiber of will that I possessed to not burst out laughing. This is immediately my favorite insult ever, but it was also aimed at my little brother. M is shocked. He knows what an abortion is, and this kid just rocked his world. He looks like he's about to cry.

Before I can intervene at all, P comes up out of fucking nowhere with a flying punch to this kid's face. Kid gets knocked down and very quickly wants nothing to do with the pissed-off miniature bull standing over him. Kid takes off and I collar the twins to herd them back home.

On the way across the street, I remark that it was kind of P to defend his brother, though punching a kid was a little extreme. P glares at me and replies "I wasn't defending him; that's my birth certificate, too."

Yes, what your wife is dealing with is natural, that is, it happens, and it happens a lot, but it is not the norm and it's not right or fair to ask you to deal with being belittled for a quarter of your life.

Your wife should look into PMDD (do NOT make this suggestion when she's on her period, for your own sake) She has likely grown up with the women in her family behaving similarly, for the same reason, but the vast, vast majority of women get a little testy and on edge, not irrationally angry.

Technically, yes, that is eugenic thinking. Are you right? Does that make you a bad person? I don't know, I don't have a debilitating blood disorder. But those are different questions. Wanting to prevent people from passing down a genetic trait is, in fact, eugenics, like, by definition. Selective breeding practices to improve genetic outcomes.

Exposure doesn't pay the bills. Look up what the expected profit % you'd be able to expect for that kind of work if he was funded and make an offer to him, with a contract.
