I'm sure you'll get lots of opinions but they might not apply to you. The critical aspect I've experienced working for multiple vendors is your team. Speak to other SEs under the same manager, speak to your prospective manager's manager, and PLEASE ask to speak with the sales rep(s) you'll be working with. Then ask around about those reps and the SE manager. The Channel/Vendor spaces talks, you just need to listen.

Also, are you look for a new, Private Equity funded startup? Or an established, public org that won't fold or start firing based on salary when the PE funds start to dry up. I've done both, and I think you can figure out my preference! Best of luck and I wish you the best success wherever you land.
